Ech. What ugly, soulless eyes.

Curious how much this image gives me the same ick as seeing a tapeworm slowly squirm.

"how curious, what a strange coincidence" 😆

What could ever get anyone to think the shitass NYPD was ever doing more than 1/8 effort?

They don't hire for quality.

I didn't, but we've opted for chem film lately. Old timers seemed more fond of hex chrome for high voltage applications with outdoor exposure, but I don't see why it's better than chem film.

Nah. Grow your own if you're that worried. None of us is forced to smoke, but I do need to take medicine I can rely on. I want the government involved in one case, but not very much the other.

Do you understand the difference?

If I did want to drop back in, b/c I saw the sharp slope down after s09 or so, where would you recommend.

A lot of discussion on how simple the loop is vs PWR and BWR systems ignores all the added valves and redundant piping need for maintenance.

We have materials which can resist molten salts, but they will degrade eventually. The rectors as shown on paper are invariably less complex than what's necessary for production.

Not necessarily against LFTRs or anything, but we gotta be honest with each other before going down this 10,000yr road.

Thanks for these. As a reminder to all, a lot of the regulations we've got have been written with blood.

When corpos complain about regulation stifling the economy, remember that your life matters, and that you didn't have a choice to be born into this system.

Consider the effective sentiments being expressed, regardless of the true cause..

Ah yeah, I'd forgotten about that.

I'm certain the engineering team considered it, but I wonder why they didn't pursue having accounts that haven't signed in for a while issue a notice to the sender, or even have the account deactivate itself.

Make an opt-out default, you could disable that behaviour if your threat model needed to account for that 🤷

Many of us have been trying to hint to the C-suites that the stone holds no more blood, for decades now, with increasingly visible and large protests as time goes on.

I am also sad that we're at this point, after this much time and effort into doing the right thing in peaceful ways.

I have no condolences to offer at this time.
