You put it more eloquently than I could. @dan does bring up good points. We can’t monitor everything. But Meta is sort of a whale in a pond of goldfish. It stands out. And I personally don’t think should be given any benefit of the doubt based on their history.

Nothing would get me to delete my account quicker than federating with a Meta instance.

This probably needs some explaining. So for example, the movie Die Hard.

If John McClain or even some of the hostages whipped out the game and started playing the game and unleashing the animals, and bugs and monsoons, I think the movie potentially gets resolved more quickly. The terrorists can’t contain the abrupt chaos. They’ll be far too distracted and the police outside can possibly resolve the situation sooner.

Of course there is the probability that some of the hostages don’t make it, but I think there’s a decent chance.

What other movies/tv shows would give the same sort of chances?

Them saying that they didn’t remove mods because of the protest is ridiculous. I’ve spent time on enough subreddits where the mods weren’t “active and engaged” and seemingly absent. But now this is suddenly one of the most important rules the admins are deciding to enforce. I wonder how many mods have been removed for not being “active and engaged” from subreddits that didn’t participate in the protest, because I certainly haven’t heard of any as of yet

I agree with you. If you find enjoyment in that part of the fiction, indulge in it. Who cares if it’s not officially canon. There’s still merit to those stories.

I’d like to play the other games in that series, like Dad Rising and Dad island

I can’t say I’m overly shocked by this. Right off the bat this past season there seemed to be a lot of issues

My cousin and I were playing Monopoly on NES. The computer player offered us a trade. I don’t remember what it was exactly, but it wanted Boardwalk from some other property we had no use for. We declined the trade and console immediately reset. It still makes me laugh realizing the game rage quit on us.
