Third party voters during election time: RHEEEEEEE! I refuse to vote because of [CURRENT ISSUE THEY HEARD ABOUT FROM A FRIEND IN PHYS ED]

Third part voters the rest of the four years:
Wait… What issue?

That’s not how votes work. And I’m not going to explain it to you because EVERONE here already has. You have absolutely no intention to argue in good faith at this point.

In FPTP, any vote not for one, is an assist for the other. Period. End of story. Case closed. No more debate on it.

That you’re here to continue arguing with people illustrates that you’re not here to discuss it in good faith at all.

Therefore, I’d ask anyone reading along to just disregard this person as a bad faith actor and don’t engage with them any further on this.

Dude… your spend all day smearing the walls of lemmy with pseudo-intellectual rhetoric! How can you sit there all smug and sarcastically accuse others of attending an ethics class.

In five days, Everyone knows you are going to vanish from here. Frankly, I’m amazed anyone is taking you seriously at all.

So, your original post is about the voters, or the politicians? Because I’m talking about the voters, which is what you made your post out to be.

Third party will never see the light of day because the people that see it for what it is would never in their life support it. Those that support it, only pay attention to it every three and a half years or so just like the candidates do with political policy.

They do nothing, and they have no roadmap to any effective policy at all.

When this changes, I’d be willing to bet that any free thinking democrat would be willing to listen. But as the leftists LOVE to say-

They haven’t earned our votes. They don’t just get to demand we vote for them and magically get our votes. It’s THEIR job to earn votes.

And they haven’t.

And for the most part- the only pressure applied is from democrats. Conservatives will do the reverse and fully support the genocide, and far leftists and social vanish after the election. They do this every time.

Hell, 1 in 10 Bernie Bros vote for Trump out of spite in 2016. So how about we hope THEY don’t disappear since they’re the ones that seem to have the roadmap to ending genocide to begin with. But we know they are going to. Because they would rather not vote and risk a trump victory just to spite everyone for not doing things their way.

What would make anyone believe they’ll stick around to usher in any of the change they demand?

Well, to be fair- far leftists, socialists, progressives- whatever you want to call them also disappear after every election. They’re notoriously hands off unless an election is happening.

Need evidence? Show me an instance where any of these people did anything at all to make the change they demand aside from disrupt and protest an election.

It’s all good.

The same can be said for the untold masses of “socialists” crying that “all dems are pro-genocide!” while most of them didn’t even know where Palestine was a year ago.

I will once they show they have earned my vote. I mean… That’s how it goes, right?

When third party candidates do the work the other three and a half years, and make themselves known to be a servant of the people…

I’ll think about it.

But showing up at the eleventh hour acting like they’re entitled to my vote?

Yeah.. that’s a big no from me dawg. Keep supporting spoilers. The rest of us will do the work to protect your rights.

For instance, can I block posts made to specific groups from my feed? Apologies, I’m a Reddit refuge and there’s a bit of content I’d rather not have to weed through.
