I have been using Linux since the windows 8 days, and still see no reason to return.
I pay around £15 per month in membership fees at my Union. But if it weren't for them, I'd have lost my house when the energy companies hiked their prices, end everyone else did the same to compensate.
Was it garaunteed that they'd win these negotiations? No.
Would I have been better off begging to my managers? Fuck no.

If you bought CSGO, you automatically got access to prime mode when the game went free to play.
It's a separate matchmaking pool that puts you in servers filled with only other people who also bought the game, substantially reducing the likelihood of encountering cheaters and bots who just make endless free accounts.
This also carries over into CS2 as far as I'm aware.
Yeah, there's still plenty of issues I have with my framework laptop, but I'm ultimately happier with it than I would've been will Dell, Lenovo, Asus, etc.
