I was banded from /r/democrats because I said that Bernie would have beaten Trump

It's fun. But I do get fatigue from making content only a handful of people see

Maybe you should post more first?

Now this meme I can get behind

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Yeah I agree. Maybe change your mind if Lemmy explodes, but for now keep it centralized

It is! Thank you

I can confirm this. I had issues two days ago but now it's fine

Btw I love that you are under a private Vallhalla.bar instance, that's so cool.

If you didn't know by my username already, I'm named after the bartender Ratz who works at the Chatsubo bar in the William Gibson book: Neuromancer.

Cyberpunk is my jam

We do have examples of buildings needing to account for the curvature of the earth.

One that comes to mind is The fountain at the Christian Science Mother Church in Boston…

It’s about a quarter mile long and the water flows evenly over the granite curbs along its entire perimeter. If it didn’t follow the earth's curvature the water would all just spill over at the middle.

Im very surprised that noone here has mentioned the LHC in CERN Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland. The LHC or Large Hadron Collider is so huge that it stretches across 2 countries (France and Switzerland) and stretches over a circumference of an impressive 17 miles (27 kilometers). It is so large that when building it they not only had to take into consideration the curvature of the LHC tunnel, but also the curvature of the earth.

Kinda reminds me of growing up with the DC sniper in my neighborhood, witnessing 911 happen on a crt tv, and seeing a recession start as soon as I graduated high school.

So many dead communities. Thank God for Lord of the rings memes, but I'm getting tired of everyone only posting on Lemmyshitpost

It took me a minute to realize you were not on wefwef

"I saw the Siete Family Foods marketing team working on this throughout the day, and I didn't quite know what they were up to, but I knew it'd be great. Was so fun to see the finished video pop up on Instagram this evening.

We're excited about our 4 delicious varieties of beans launching at Kroger nationwide. If you get a chance, try the charro beans...they're a household favorite."
