Monday January 8th was my last day/evening out, drinking, smoking.

I abruptly stopped and with the exception of a small glass of wine that Thursday before bed after a mild panic attack (honestly wasn't quite sure how my body would respond after abruptly quitting) I haven't drank or smoked since.

I had to go to my local private club a couple nights ago for club business for a couple hours but just drank club soda and ice. People kept trying to buy me a beer as I wasn't there in a week ("Where you been?")

Stay strong everyone.

Well, Neil, isn't that a little selfish of you!

It sure is nice waking up and feeling good, not having yellow/orange urine, dehydrated, etc. I was looking at my bank account and looking at all this extra money I have sitting there.

Checking in from yesterday's thread: I didn't leave the house. No drink, no smoke for 72 hours.

Woke up an hour ago, no symptoms. Feels good to not be dehydrated and cranky. In 7 hours I will want to, out of habit, go to the bar but I won't. I'm sure after three days of not being there, someone will come looking for me thinking I'm dead or infirmed.

I'm in the US. No drinks or smoke since Monday night exactly 48 hours ago. It's after midnight here so I'm going to bed. Going to see if I can make another day. Just worried about detox symptoms, if there is none then I won't drink.

Thanks to this thread I have discovered openboard.

I voted for this. There was a lot of outright blatant lies on the commercials against this.

I forgot it even passed until my kid started kindergarten in the fall and during registration we were told starting that year all school lunches are free.

Every Business School 101 class will use this as a case study

I volunteered on his campaigns. Bernie is almost always right.

We had the knob but it broke off. So we had a pair of pliers sitting on top of the TV to turn the dial (from 2 through 13).

My friends weren't as poor so they'd have a converter box. It had an actual remote and that sound it made as it flipped through all the channels. I can't even describe the sound but if you know, you know it.

Pulling a Sinema? lmao, not even fucking close.

I'm sure next time around, Conor Lamb will run in the primary again and you're welcome to support him over Fetterman.
