I'm feeling more and more that it's a bug. It's too out of the norm for Niantic to give players useful QoL without announcing them. I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts and then lament it when it's taken away.

No problem. I'm hoping the same. Reddit is not an option for me once the third party apps are done so I'm hoping Lemmy catches on.

This event is a dud for me. Nothing interesting. Works for me, a break from the game once in awhile is welcomed.

I think it depends on the Pats throwing more guaranteed cash than any other team. I really can't see any other reason he would sign in NE other than money.
