For me the rain has let up and now it’s been replaced by snow. That’s Kentucky weather for ya how’s it going around the rest of the state?

Former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) will announce Thursday he will not seek reelection in 2026.

Hey everyone I know this might be a bit early but I’d like to use this community to help.

Once again Kentucky has been hit by a major flood many cities including some near me are underwater. We have a winter storm coming within a day or 2 so it’s urgent that people get the help they need as soon as possible. If you or someone you know has been affected by this new flood and you need help please let this community know and I and hopefully members of the community will get and help and find resources.

Kentucky governor Andy Beshear on Sunday said at least 11 people were dead, with the number expected to increase.

Severe storms also swept through parts of Florida and Georgia, where tornado watches were in effect early on Sunday, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

Elsewhere, bone-chilling cold is expected for the northern plains with low temperatures into the -30s F near the Canadian border. Dangerously cold wind chill temperatures in the Dakotas and Minnesota of -40F (-40C) to -50F are expected.

Heavy snowfall amounts were expected in parts of New England and northern New York. In some areas, wind gusts could reach 60mph (about 97km/h) and create “hazardous whiteout conditions”, the NWS said.
