I was a beta tester for Stormgate and there were some pretty hefty terms and conditions in the non disclosure agreement which may account for some of the more personal information they have gathered. As for the rest... I think you are in the right to share and make sure people realize what they are signing up for. It's sad to say but the targeted marketing portion is probably nothing Windows or my phone weren't already tracking.

I won't argue about the power imbalance being real but I think giving a blanket pass to minorities and saying using slurs is ok just because they are the minorities is ridiculous. Cracker can definitely be used as a slur in the right context. So can cis. How about people just treateach other with respect.
I don't believe I said anything inflammatory but my first comment has already been removed so I guess the echo chamber doesn't really want to hear any opposing views so I will leave it at that.
