I'm using Nova, but your reply convinced me to try it out. Sounds like a cool launcher for someone who likes to tweak around (me basicly) :)
Protip: If you are somewhat skeptical of the Branch integration, you can disable network permission in Android for the Nova Launcher. It doesn't need to connect to anything to work fine generally speaking. Without network permisson, the launcher can't send anything to the internet.
Awesome news! The more flavours, the better for now!
I found the reason why it probably doesn't work for you on Jerboa.
@[email protected] posted about the new Lemmy version and why we can't upgrade the site as of yet. Look here for more info: Lemmy upgrade 0.18
Great to hear! We'll have tot wait and see how it turns out, but to me the federated concept is really cool.
Yeah, i'm using it right now on my .world account. Where did you download Jerboa from? Maybe i can check my version.
The beauty of Federated Lemmy/Kbin is that you only need one account on just the one instance. You can create more accounts on seperate instances, because some instances might block or get blocked by others.
But by having a Lemmy.world account for example, you can also view many of the other instances in the 'All' feed (or by subscribing) Let me know if you need more information.
Great to hear that there is a lot of people willing to donate! I agree with your argument regarding free servers, curious to see what other instances will be doing.
Thanks for getting back to me. Have a great day! :)
Does /r/ModCoord also have a *Lemmy *equivalent?
Hey @[email protected], fellow SysAdmin here! Thank you for hosting this Lemmy instance! It's a great place, uptime has been excellent!
I've a question, if you're willing to give your opinion. Hardware is not cheap and eventually it might become impossible to pay the bills to host this instance.
What kind of support model do you envision for the future of this instance? Donations, subscription, advertisements?
Thanks anyway, and good luck to you!
Edit: I see that donations are already optional. Nice! But i'm still curious, so is there other options you've considered for your Mastadon instance for example?
