I remember my first death vividly. I glitched out and lost my diamond sword after getting shoved into lava by a zombie while mining

That’s definitely is a sentiment I share with the feeling of mystery it had. I remember me and my Sister would spend hours trying to summon Herobrine or summon the Wither before it was added to console edition. It’s something that’s hard to recapture now I feel like, especially because the game’s inner workings have been explained. That’s not to say modern Minecraft sucks, but I do miss those feelings of mystery with it.

I downloaded a few off the wiki a few years ago irc. The chests were all busted, but the blocks were all the same

I'm hoping to build my first Desktop soon and i'm praying that Valve gets an Official SteamOS release out by then. I'd kill to have it.

[–] MyNameIsAtticus 2 points 1 month ago

I had to live through it again, so everyone else does too

[–] MyNameIsAtticus 1 points 1 month ago

All glitch-less. i sadly don't have the patience to try and pull of any fancy glitches. The most complicated i got with it was Portal Peeking

The blood is interesting, i guess they thought not too fix what isn't broken. Also, yeah, i'd kill for a hard mode remix of Portal 2. Definitely make the repeat playthroughs more interesting

Portal was one of the First game franchises i got really attached to. It and its sequel well deserves that spot in the Hall of Fame

I use Mlem. It’s pretty good. My only complaints are that it doesn’t do Spoilers. I don’t know if other clients do this too, but Mlem doesn’t do push notifications either from what I can tell, which I like

I think i saw that one while putting together this modpack! I considered it but none of my friends i play with are big RTS fans and i didn't want to mess with a modpack that was already working lol

It’s a lot of fun, but I struggle to keep them alive lol. They always end up killed by zombies or something before I can build the first structure for them to stay in

There’s always so many cool things being made. Like that mod that recreates Super Mario 64’s movements and lets you play as Mario, or that physics mod

Today’s game is New Vegas, and it also marks the end of New Vegas for me. For the screenshot I originally considered doing my ending slideshow, but I thought that might 1) contain too many spoilers (though I doubt there’s many people that haven’t played it) and 2) make for too long of a post as I got almost all the slides. So instead I’ll briefly recap some of it in the post.

For my screenshot I selected a Screenshot of the other side of the Dam. It’s a very basic screenshot. But I like it because it’s not an angle I got to see often and I think it shows the scale of it well and it’s like a trophy saying “I got here” since you can’t get to this side until the end of the game.

For the Recap: I did the maddening Sunset Sasparilla Quest (I hope whatever employee came up with that is happy), I got all the companions, and I played 30 games of Caravan. Then I went onto the Second Battle of Hoover Dam (for the NCR). I have to say for how tiny the game is they do an amazing job of making of making it actually feel like a battle. Between all the explosions and action going on I found it easy to get swept away by the battle that I’d forget that there were only maybe 10 other soldiers in the room with me. I brought Cass and ED-E with me, though sadly I didn’t beat ED-E’s main story so he’s lost to the wasteland after the game. I negotiated for peace at almost every opportunity, so the Brotherhood and Boomers helped, while the Great Khans fled (I figured they wouldn’t survive a battle against the Legion). The followers didn’t side with them sadly though. I tried to set it up where everyone benefited (Except the legion obviously. They weren’t winning in this situation).

I also wanted to bring up the slideshow, as I really enjoyed it, and I’m a bit bummed now that Fallout 4 didn’t do something like that. This isn’t a essay interpretation by any means and this could be me misreading it because I’m almost knocked out NyQuill and a Fever right now, but I personally felt like it kind of changes the series’s motto (“War, War Never Changes”) depending on your actions, as it changes the context of it. For example the NCR ending I got where almost everyone came out on the positive it felt much more like it was saying “War Doesn’t change, but it can bring about change”. While with Yes Man Ending I got (I want and quickly did that after for the achievement) I felt like it was a much more dystopian “War will never change”. I felt this is kind of parallel to what Ulysses adds to the motto at the end of Lonesome road (“Men do, through the roads they walk”), because this interpretation is brought on by the “road” the player (as in from our perspective) walks through the game. Like I said though, NyQuill and Fever, so I could be completely misreading this right now.

Anyways, I also mentioned I did the Yes Man ending for the achievement. So here’s a Bonus picture of Yes Man because I actually really enjoyed him too:

Yes Man on a big ass monitor

Today’s game is New Vegas. I’m cleaning up some things before beating completing the story. Namely achievements so I don’t have to do as many on my next round trip.

This I took when I was going to do the Talent Pool quest in the Ace. I figured it was going to be a quick, 10 minute ordeal. Really easy since I had almost maxed out everything. Only, I forgot that The Tops casino hates me, so I am locked out of the quest as far as I know.

I fought my way into The Aces anyways on the off chance I could start the quest regardless and the room was empty except for a trigger happy barkeep I missed that Rose of Sharon Cassidy (who I also picked up today and is now my new favorite companion) one shot and jump scared me with the sound.

I have 17 achievements left after this before I end the game, one of which I may have to drop since It requires me to get kicked out of all the casinos and just remembered I am still locked out of the Tops. I got what I think is the hardest out of the way (The Warheads achievement) but the Star Bottle Caps quest has me a bit worried. So I may postpone that for whenever I play again.

Today's game is Fallout New Vegas. I was stuck at home all day and laid in bed playing through the entirety of Lonesome Road (wouldn't have been possible without the Steam Deck!). I got a ton of Screenshots, so I decided that I would just share multiple photos

The text Lonesome road on a stone wall

This one I took on my way into The Divide. Just like with Dead money, it seemed appropriate.

ED-E in the container

This is a screenshot I took of ED-E right before I freed them. I have to say, for having spent so little time with them, the ending made me kind of sad. They were very entertaining and I like the conversations with them.

A photo of a missile in the sky above Ashton

This is a screenshot I took of the missile as it was launched above Ashton shortly before crashing down. I have to say the journey here was hell because I had to fight 4 deathclaws. I ended up using Med-X and Psycho along with the Red Glare and spamming rockets in their direction. I spent nearly an hour trying to kill them (sometimes they'd kill me and sometimes I'd accidentally walk backwards into a hole in the ground)

The text "Everyone is Gone" written on a brick wall

This screenshot was taken just because I thought it looked neat. I don't really have any story behind it besides that. I will note that it stood out a lot more to me than the others though, as I feel like a lot of the other graffiti that wasn't obviously written by Ulysses was just random things like "Smile".

Night time in The Divide

I took this screenshot on the final stretch of my road. I used a stealthboy and sneak attacked all the scorched men along the way. I also stopped and picked up the veteran riot armor, though sadly it didn't last long with its durability so I need to repair it soon.

My character looking down a scope

I took this screenshot while fighting some scorched men. I thought it looked cool from the side profile I got and wanted to share it. I got the sniper rifle from the Veteran Ranger, and I used it for most of the rest of my journey. It felt appropriate since I was taking his armor, I may as well pay respects and use all that he had instead of just picking at what I wanted.

A missile silo

This is right before the final confrontation. I detonated all the Nukes in the area right after this screenshot (Though, I'm missing 10 so I'll have to go back and find those for the achievement) and prepared myself for the final fight.

A photo I took of Ulysses

I ended up sparing Ulysses by passing the NCR faction check and the 90 Speech check. We fought together to against the scorched men. The fight was fun. For as simplistic as FNV AI can be sometimes it did a good job of making it feel far more epic and cinematic. I ended up sacrificing ED-E to stop the Nuke, as I'm doing a morally good playthrough and I was avoiding spoilers so I didn't know if I letting it launch at someone would have consequences outside of the faction I targeted.

I came back after the slideshow and just sat with him for a bit and looked at The Divide. I listened to his final message and talked to him, before heading back.

It made me happy though to know that ED-E was transferred back to the Mojave model though, as I was surprisingly sad about it. As soon as I got back I went and activated ED-E at the Mojave Express. I also did some progress towards misc. achievements and getting endings for everything. I picked up Raul, Veronica, Arcade Gannon, and did Rex's quest. while in Jacobstown I was planning on picking up Lily but I can't remember how to get her as a companion.

I went back to Fallout New Vegas today. I’m hoping to wrap it up before I start to miss the game and so I can move onto either FF 7 Remake or Alan Wake II. Unfortunately I caught something last night and I wasn’t in the mood to start Lonesome Road, so I went back and grabbed an achievement I missed in Old World blues and also to sell off some more of the gold.

Turns out I missed getting all the personalities for the Sink. So I went back and did that since I thought it would be easy. I ended up running out of ammo fighting scorpions though and was lazy and decided to just sprint past them and tank the shots. Somehow I didn’t die from it, and managed to grab the last 4-ish modules.

I also had to go by Higgs Village for one, and was creeped out by it more compared to last time. I think it’s because I slowed down to appreciate it. Anyways, I got the Toaster up and running and I have to say it’s my favorite of the personalities. I wish I had one irl. So I picked a screenshot I took of my conversation with it for today’s screenshot

I hope to tomorrow to get over what I caught and start lonesome road. If not I may just start it anyways though because I don’t want to put it off too long before I fall out of the mood for New Vegas.

Today’s game is the very First Lego Batman. I’m taking a break from Fallout New Vegas so I don’t speed through the whole thing and decided to relax after a 5 Hour Coding Marathon for a class with this.

Ik the body chalk outline has been memed to death. But I had forgotten about it until recently and after remembering it I wanted to share it.

The Game is Fallout New Vegas. I finally beat Dead Money. Just like how I started it I decided this would be an appropriate screenshot to end with. I ended up taking off with the gold after killing Elijah the first time for the achievement(Took him out using some C4 I planted and detonated on him). It took me a while but I eventually got it by dropping the gold in front of the door, Talking to Elijah, grabbing the gold while the door is opening, and making a sprint for the center stairs and hugging the wall around into the lift. I took the gold to the sink in the Big MT and sold a bar to the table there. I think I have enough gold to last a while. Overall I really enjoyed this DLC. I’m going to pause a little bit on New Vegas though and spend some time on multiplayer games with friends so I don’t speed through Lonesome Road and the rest of the Main Story though

Today’s game is Zomboid. I’m finding it hard to let go of Dead Money (fully intended). Me and my friend continued the story of Cable and Jerry tonight instead.

We camped out in this house we found, made some steak, and I went searching for a car. I was jumped by maybe 10 zombies outside a police station and managed to find the key and get in and loot it. So we’re set on guns for now. I also found a Ranger Truck to drive, but on my way back my friend got bit. I had to put him down and he respawned.

I walked to the other side of town because the truck was low on gas and we bumped into each other when I was searching for a car to pick him up in. We went on a brief walk through town trying to find a gas can to siphon gas. We didn’t find one but we did find a Van with a key in it (had to break the window to get at it though) and a Van with a full tank. I used bottles to Siphon gas out if the one with a tank and we started the car and drove home from that little adventure.

(Bonus pic of me standing over My Friend/Jerry’s Son Cable’s Corpse after putting him down (he put his clothes away so he would be able to find them after respawning))

I took a screenshot of Vera’s Suite. I chose to merge God and Dog, I was going to spare Dean but I told him about the collars when we first met so ig that makes me going out of my way to get the Holograms working null. I’m going to tackle Elijah tomorrow and be finished with it. I’ve really enjoyed this DLC. Honestly all the DLCs so far I’ve loved. Idk if I could pick a favorite.

I went back to Fallout New Vegas today. I got to Vera’s Suite and rescued Christine. I chose to Merge Dog and God, I was going to spare Dean but I told him about the collars instead of cooperating when we first met so he didn’t want to help me (I got the holograms for the dick though). Tomorrow I’m going to finish the DLC. I might take a brief brake after that to play some more casual games (Sea of Thieves, Red Dead Online, etc.) with friends and then tackle Lonesome Road and then the Battle of Hoover Dam

Today’s game is Modded Minecraft. I took a brief break from Fallout New Vegas because some friends asked me to setup (and play) a Modded Minecraft server with them due to me being the only computer guy and this was the base I setup.

I’m hiding underground from a Dragon from the Ice and Fire mod that was chasing me until I can construct ICBMs to launch at it or someone else can kill it. We’re going to ignore my hunger because one of the mods fucked up vanilla mob spawns and I have to fix it tomorrow.

Today’s game is Fallout New Vegas. I completed the Gala event right before I stopped for today (it took almost an extra hour because I soft locked somehow right before dropping God off). After setting it off I looked down into the courtyard and saw how many of the ghost people I’d have to fight. I’m dreading that. Tomorrow I hope to either complete the DLC or get close to it.

After rescuing Christine earlier tonight, I dragged God all the way back and made him pose with the rest for a group photo. So far I’m enjoying Dead Money and its creepy atmosphere. Once I start to get adjusted to something, I feel like it throws another one my way which is really entertaining and keeps me on my toes
