v1.1.0 Nearby TAB Overhaul [Update] (lemmy.razbot.xyz)
 

The Nearby TAB has been fully rewritten.

There are now 2 tabs within the Nearby TAB, one for the map and one for the list. The map you can move around to look for stops that are less nearby you and the list behaves as the list behaved before (with the closest stop to you at the top of the list and updates as you move around).

If you don't like this new layout, you can switch back to the old split-screen style in the new settings page, found on the home TAB. However, this old layout will not receive any updates/new features.

My plans for this app (lemmy.razbot.xyz)
 

I am developing this app as a school project which means I do have to take breaks in development in order to write up what I've done, which can take a while. I have full intentions to continue development of this app, just might take longer than usual.

plans:

My planned features are, taken directly from my school writeup :P, are:

  • Shows nearby bus stops.
  • Shows live times.
  • Saved stops.
  • Clear communication of bus cancellations.
  • Easy to navigate UI.
  • Stability.
  • Shows location of the nearby bus stops (on a map).
  • “Take me home” button.
  • Material You 3 Design.
  • Performant.
  • Show the route of the bus when clicks in the timetable list.

For any other ideas, please leave a comment or use the feedback form in the sidebar. Please note, some of these may not fit within the scope of my project, but after it's submitted, I can work on it more.

In regards to open/closed source, it will remain closed source until I have submitted and received the mark for the project. After that, I am open to discuss it again.
