You mean the ones that are also headed towards total societal collapse within the next decade? Yeah, I'm sure they'll totally have plenty of resources to spare for a trans-pacific invasion when they can't grow any crops.

Yeah, Russia is significantly worse. We all know. That doesn't change the fact that the US is sprinting head first into the woodchipper, too.
I'm not sure why you're asduming that because I can see what he cares about, it must be all I care about too.
He absolutely will sleep fine; he doesn't give a fuck about reddit or its communities. He never did. It was only ever about money. Yeah, it sucks what he's done, but pretending he's the loser in this situation when he's going to live out his days in luxury and comfort while we've lost our communities and will always be stuck in the grind supporting the lifestyles of him and his ilk is embarrassingly delusional.
This country is going to implode one way or another. We can try to have it happen in a kinda sorta controlled way, or we can do your idea of sticking our fingers in our ears and just let the pressure build until it breaks in the most destructive way possible.
It's going to hurt no matter what. Trying to avoid the pain will only end in worse pain.
I don't have the solution, I just have the basic sense to see that what this country is is entirely unsustainable.
He's cashing out with more money than he'll be able to spend in his lifetime. Yeah, what a fucking rube.
The separation of church and state has forced American denominations to compete in a marketplace for souls/money, and they have become ruthlessly efficient corporatized entities, using marketing and business-process management, and exploiting tax advantages and high switching costs.
This is not a product of separation of church and state, but of the atrocious combination of hyper-capitalism and tax exemption for religious organizations.
No sarcasm. These are all reality in the US right now. Feel free to fact check.
That ship has fucking sailed, buddy.
How did he mess up? He's cashing out and burning the place down behind him. This is all standard practice in vulture capitalism. It happens every day, but you don't see or care because most of the companies it happens to aren't centered around a social platform you spend all your free time on.
Have never heard a gunshot before? If you shoot even a dinky little .22 pistol in a school bathroom, half the fucking building is going to know it.
The Roman empire was still the most successful empire in the world at the time it collapsed. So was the British empire. And the Spanish empire. And the Mongol empire. And the Abassid Caliphate. Should I go on, or do you get the fucking point yet?
Yeah, Russia is one of the worst, most worthless shitholes in the world, far worse than the US. That doesn't nullify the situation the US is in, nor the sitiation it's headed towards. This country cannot and will not survive the already inevitable famines of the 2030's.
