I've been looking for work since losing my job in March. And all these lead-addled antiques keep saying, "nobody wants to work anymore." These people couldn't be any less attached to reality.
I'm on Connect as of tonight, and it's beautiful. I never tried Sync, so I can't compare them, but Connect is very nice to use.
I was so fucking relieved to see that lemmy.world doesn't fuck around with the fascist "absolute free-speech" game. Fucking FINALLY! If I didn't already have a reason not to return to reddit/Twitter/whatever, this would've been enough on its own. Thank you, admins!
Connect is my favorite so far! I tried out Jerboa and Liftoff as well. Jerboa is fine. Liftoff is incredibly buggy in my experience. Connect is beautiful and slick! Seems very stable so far, too!

This POS likes to just.... block it anyways... it isn't legal, but he's worth $6 billion, and it's only enforced by a small fine IIRC. And when the penalty for breaking a law is a fine, it's only illegal if you're poor.
Lucky guess
Edit: Don't know why this picture is upside-down lol
Damn right!

Most of my favorite subs are irreversibly affected by protestors. Going there, I just see a feed of filler content among meme posts. I don't believe reddit has anything to offer me anymore, and I'm no longer interested in interacting on the company's platform.
Honestly, seeing how many people signed up on these federated services and the amount of people sharing similar viewpoints over this controversy is refreshing. We stuck with reddit for too long, for no good reason other than a lack of competition, and I'm excited to see what changes this can bring!
I'll keep rif installed while I transition, but I'm not posting there anymore. I'm really liking it here, and reddit has been around long enough IMO. I'm no longer interested in that site after how they've been treating their users.
Even if they allowed 3rd party apps to have free access and fired u/spez, I've lost all interest. Their policies are 100% unappealing to me as a consumer. I also like how lemmy.world doesn't tolerate hate speech, in stark contrast to reddit.
