I believe I hold the 2nd least controversial opinion of, mergers suck and all but I really want to like ABK games again, and I sure don't see them fixing shit on their own. I think their games and company would improve under Microsoft.

I absolutely find great value in forums. And I think the success of reddit speaks to that, as well as the urgency to find somewhere new like Lemmy.

I still don’t think reddits going anywhere but this should proliferate alternatives which is a great thing.

Honestly what’s the alternative to a forum anyway? They’ve existed as long as the internet. Sure social media exists but it’s far more ephemeral and you can’t keep old information alive very long.

I dunno, man.. that feels like an overly harsh headline. This is perhaps the best fighting game at launch to ever release. It's got immediate polish, a solid and fun roster, plenty of new-player-friendly features, and no noticably game breaking bugs.

Surely it could be better, just about anything can be improved somehow, but I'm hard pressed to pick significant flaws in it.

That style is just perfect. Absolutely interested in checking this out. The only thing I’ve even watched by the guy is Fantastic Mr Fox, and they all seem great but this one has caught my eye more than anything since.

This, combined with some other news stories explicitly mentioning Lemmy as an alternative, is a very positive thing for the community here.
