I didn't use mine in class because it wasn't allowed and teachers would take it away if I did. Is that not a thing anymore? Or maybe just a german thing in the first place.

That being said, don't need a smartphone to play games in class. I was a god at snake on my graphing calculator...

There's a difference between "it wouldn't be so bad if they die" and "i hope they died in the worst way possible". I think the former about quite a few people, but while there's some fucked up part of me that delights in assholes getting what they deserve, I'm still not gonna celebrate someone going through torture.

Tbh I just don't think the people upvoting this meme are likely the same people, i constantly see comments on here dehumanizing people for having backwards-ass views on things, which would be perfectly in line with saying the genocide is okay because many of the people affected hold similar views.

It's obviously not, not just because that's bound to not apply to everyone, but also because people can change and are a product of their environment.

Gearbox is also the developer of the borderlands games. Doesn't seem impossible they'll just let the studio do its thing, and inany case they're far from unrelated to game dev.

Though I'd also be concerned any time something I like is bought by another company.

Yep, I think i even got diagnosed with something similar (tho all i have is a memory of my mom mentioning "fine motor skill development disorder" once, which my brain couldve just made up), I do have autism and probably adhd which I'm still trying to get diagnosed. I looked into dyspraxia a while ago and a lot of it fit pretty well, I still tie my shoe laces in a very scuffed way for example and it took me until I was 12 or so to learn it. And there's nothing I hate more than fiddly stuff with my hands, so I've pretty much assumed I have some form of dyspraxia ever since. Though I had little issues learning to type and can do that pretty fast, and never had any general learning disability, which made me a bit doubtful. If it has high comorbidity with autism/adhd I probably do have it after all.

In any case I am glad I don't have to handwrite a lot anymore lol

If the result is deforestation it's not really carbon neutral, that would require another tree to grow in its place. Otherwise oil would be carbon neutral too, since that once came from plants.

The main difference is the sheer amount of energy we use honestly, if we covered all our current needs with wood we'd probably run out of trees faster than they could ever regrow. In that sense coal isn't strictly worse, if we stayed on 17th century level energy consumptiom but used coal instead of wood, we wouldn't have to worry about global warming either.

I read this and immediately celebrated it as the greatest feature to grace firefox in a while. It's already my default pdf viewer since it means I don't have to start up any program to view a pdf, now I also don't need to do that to edit one.

I never recovered, and I don't really know how to write print. So i either write cursive at the speed of around one letter per second, produce unreadable chicken scratching, or write very ugly all caps print because that's simple enough and actually readable and faster than trying to produce legible cursive.

I also don't think I handwrite more than 100 words a year though so it's ok

To my knowledge AC in places north of italy is basically nonexistent in private homes. Mediterranean countries do often have it though. Poland certainly doesn't commonly.

Fridges don't even remotely compare to AC in power consumption, and inside temperature doesn't differ as much as outside temperature in summer vs. winter because in winter the inside gets heated, and in summer insulation still keeps it below outside temps usually.

Ngl the people in the screenshot don't strike me as white, rather western asian or somewhere around there. Not that I have much doubt that your average american christian cartoon just intends to make everyone white.

This perception is very subjective, usually when features aren't super obviously one group, humans just default to what they're most used to out of what fits their general appearance. For example anime characters will usually look european to europeans, but japanese to japanese people.

There was a blogpost posted to here a while ago that looked into that and seemed to find it true. The whole tone of it felt a bit masturbatory but it was still an interesting read, I'll see if I can find it

Edit: I failed to find it but anyway, it's probably the case.

Needing explanations/understanding to be willing to do things is a pretty common pattern in autistic people afaik. Doesn't have to be autism, but it's an autistic trait. If someone refuses to provide an explanation if I ask (provided there's not some reason I shouldn't know) I just get irritated and probably won't do it out of spite.

Yea, if I don't know the full context then I can just accept it unless I think it's completely stupid, and then I'll just ask. Getting the explanation also helps with understanding the processes better.

I think I most commonly notice this when it's a movie theme, where some character is struggling with disobeying a person of authority that doesn't actually hold significant power over them and is just an authority because of social hierarchy. It wouldn't even cross my mind to obey them if I didn't want to do what they're asking, and all I can think is "why are you doing this".
