Just observing the major differences in attitude here. I'm agreeing with you, and wondering why the vitriol all being placed on Harris and her campaign, instead of on the voters who actively wanted and then voted for a felon.

People have the memory of a fucking brain dead goldfish. It is so frustrating, it makes me want to pull my eyeballs out.

And if they actually took the time to look into WHY anything was happening that they didn't like or enjoy, they would have eventually found some answers somewhere.

Dude, we have a WHOLE entire "team" of ReDUMBlicans who will bitch and whine that anything good that is offered by Democrats IMMEDIATELY gets shut down or must make changes to include something stupid, just so they can get their grubby little fingers into it. OR try to sue for it, which just clutters up our court system.

The president, at least a Democrat one, CAN NOT just do whatever the fuck they want to do, for those exact reasons.

Everyone who voted for a genocider and lost should really shut the fuck up lmao

Eagerly awaiting your response when Trump amps it to 11, and your argument goes invalid because he "finished the job".

What will you say then, I wonder?

I swear after this election, people have become so.. senseless on here. Wildly different just a few weeks ago when we were sticking up and actively promoting Harris and her policies.

Fucking seriously though. I can see the frustration with the DNC, but some form of action is a hell of a lot better than the total dismantle of America as it is right now. These people could have easily looked into Kamala's policies that show quite a few good ideas, and a few that I personally didn't jive with (increase child tax credits, while the people like me and my partner are staunchly against having children that will grow into a world on fire, get absolutely nothing). Didn't stop me from voting for her though, you know why? Trump has NO plan (GOOD plan, they've got PLENTY of bad plans lined up for us all!). AT ALL. So, America's idiots STILL chose this orange buffoon, with no plans at all, just sparkly words, and now we are really sitting here and trying to blame Harris, who only had 107 days to get her message out there? Come on, Lemmy. I thought you were better than this...

You are not alone. On the AP website's live vote map, I saw quite a few suspicious looking "called" on states that hadn't even started yet. I know it was an algorithm or prediction method, and maybe I didn't look as hard in 2020 as I did this year, but I just can not help but question the amount of shit that happened THIS time not having an affect on the election. I am probably just being hopeful that SOMETHING pops up about all this in the following weeks. Do I believe it will? Nah, not really. We literally allowed a felon to run as president, so, yeah. Am I HOPEFUL? Yes, just a smidge.

While the right is doing their little celebration dance, saying how they are going to do all of these terrible things, I just have the smallest smidge of hope that someone in power somewhere in the USA is collecting some damning evidence in the background.

Crazy? I get it. Really just an emotional person trying to convince themselves there is someone looking into it on the basis of odd and/or suspicious.

Honestly, for the most part, I think the videos and talking heads are a symptom of an even bigger issue. The inability to read long form text, comprehend it, and reflect on the text in a logical manner. They want these videos breaking it down for them, and they want those talking heads telling them what to believe. Why? Because reading is "hard".

On the flip side, they LOVE to read all up on their fave bands, their fave celebrity, fave movie, fave game, or any drama on their little social app. So, they can read of course. Only when it is over something that doesn't really matter in the long run, or drivel meant to ruin their perception.

Same people who will sit there and read the entire lore of Dark Souls/Elden Right, but can't even read a website hosted by one of the running candidates that explicitly goes into details of what their platform is.

Hmm..

I think once we start seeing people being dragged out into the streets, put into camps, or whatever crazy shit they plan on doing, that will be the time to make this kind of decision. Right now, there may be some kind of response that we can take that might help. It's a toss up right now, but just know, your life is valuable, and to not doing anything drastic until the first signs of the regime come into light.

For what it's worth to you, I do have a last ditch plan for myself if I truly do see this death march in action, but I will not enact it unless it is truly the last option I have.

I agree. If there really are that much less votes this year, and everything is clear as can be, then I concede my theory. It just seems so.. strange? Like, he was literally sitting there claiming fraud, and then...? Nothing..? Just stopped peddling it, and won? Like, he got real confident, real quick..

So, I might get put on a list for this, but so be it.

Does no one else here feel like a little bit of fuckery has happened in the election process?

It's like overnight everyone has forgotten about all those ballot boxes that were burned, multiple cases of ballot box interference (1,2), and the fact that Trump and his ilk are always projecting, which means that when he says a state or someone is cheating, it very well could mean that he and his cronies are up to no good. What about those bomb threats?

Now, with all of that being said, I do NOT want to come off as the same of the likes of a Trump supporter. I do not want you all to look at me like I am trying to cause distrust in the system. I do trust the system (as much as I can of course), so let it be said here and now, I am not saying this as a matter of fact.

These points, and the very quick and almost instant next day results, have made me very much question the LANDSLIDE that Trump had this year. Voter turn out was at an all time high, and I know that doesn't mean a lot, but everything combined makes me a little inquisitive to the nature of the results. We know that Russian interference happened in 2016. We know about Russian interference in the 2020 election. We also expected, and are sure of, interference in this election of 2024. That's not even counting all the billionaires and millionaires having private little meetings about how they can push the scales to their favor, Trump and Musk talking to Putin in private, and I'm sure there are plenty more that we can all find easily verifiable facts on.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is that something felt more off about this election, than the past three, to me at least.

Am I just being silly? Can someone help me here?
