This is fake
I take a medicine which typically costs $600 per month. If I don't take it, I won't feel any different, but I could suddenly die (expected rate of one incident per 6 years).
For some reason, my insurance, which is really terrible most of the time, is covering it at $0 per month, despite not having even met my deductible this year. If this changes on January 1st due to plan changes (or changes at any other time, for whatever reason) then I'll probably just be screwed.
So I just have to live with this uncertainty.
(What do people do when they have a $10,000 deductible and have to take this med?)
What you need is more support for progressive candidates and fewer centrists.
GOG released a Windows client, but no Linux client. My problem is with being treated worse than a Windows user.
In comparison, itch.io has no Windows client and no Linux client (in part because some of the stuff they sell is not software). So I have no problem buying through itch.io.
Software engineer here. I find the petition to be very specific, and totally feasible.
Anyway, this isn't a true referendum where its text would become immediate law as soon as it passes. It's a petition that would be presented to legislators who would write the actual law. The petition doesn't need to be written in legalese.
(Also: if the customer paid them even one cent, then they DO owe the customer something. Also: They should be forced to release the server software when they shut down the servers.)
Why are hospitals drug-testing pregnant women without their consent?
The gingerbread man lives in what he believes to be a gingerbread universe, where all matter is gingerbread.
I don't worry that my home and my body are both made of matter. The gingerbread man thinks similarly, but the "matter" to him is what we know to be gingerbread.
The suspect was at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania and was recognized by an employee who then called local police.
I'm accusing parallel construction. The released photos have so little detail that there must be a hundred thousand Americans that match their appearance.
If children of undocumented immigrants aren't "subject to the jurisdiction thereof", that means they can commit any crime they can get away with. If they get caught, the government can't do anything to them except deport them.
Anyone born in the US who has been jailed for a crime, forced to apply for a driver's license, or forced to pay at least one cent of income tax is "subject to the jurisdiction thereof".
It's perfect to me. The version I have from F-droid does forward-is-up when you click "start" after doing a route, but I prefer north-is-up, so I don't click start, and it behaves exactly as I prefer.
It's the first OSM-based map app I've used that can navigate to a number on a street, and it does it perfectly.
The search works perfectly. I live on, lets say, 123 fake street w. If I search "123 fake st.", or "123 fake street", or "123 fake street w.", the correct result always comes up.
It has frequent enough updates to correctly route around road work.
I've struggled through many other open source mapping tools for smartphone since 2013, because I refused to use a proprietary app. This is the first one I recommend to everyone, including non-freedom-minded people.
Kiss the ring. Bend the knee. Grovel for your dictator.
They know what's about to happen to them, and they're allowing it to happen early, before he even takes power. Don't support these collaborators.
