(I might Edit this with more advice)

Hey you got the right one here! I’ve played it a million times. Although undoubtedly others will have more in-depth advice. This is my personal advice:

  1. For the first playthrough I personally just did what I felt was right in terms of moral decisions.

  2. The main characters stories are very interesting. If you want to actually play their stories, you can literally change any of their appearances as fighting styles to whatever you want! No holds barred.

  3. Try not to spread your talents too thin across disciplines. I would choose a theme and try not to choose too many skills outside it. That is one of my problems. I enjoy being a necromancer and maybe some other discipline to go with it.

  4. Fort Joy takes a long time to do. There are many ways to escape it. Some are harder than others. But you will get sick of it lol. Just explore honestly. As long as you are on the island, you can literally come back to it when you escape the fort.

  5. The way this game works like this: some battles are very hard if you play them in a bad order. If you find one that is too hard, there’s no shame in escaping and coming back to it later. Try a different battle first and then come back later. If you want to fight Griff for example it is difficult. Do other things first and come back.

  6. You can make your own armor in the beginning with needle, thread and leather!

  7. Unless you’re going for trophies just turn on the bag of gifts. Infinite sprint and talking to animals is a must. Do not turn on the one with organizing bags! Do turn on the full health with bedroll.

  8. You can do dumb shit with random items if you’re creative. Carrying a lit candle can be useful if an enemy is in a puddle of oil and you have no fire…

  9. Don’t let Losse talk to Amadia

  10. If you have a mask of the shapeshifter you can become an elf and eat body parts.

I can’t think of a similar example for myself, but I appreciate that you have shared this.

I keep clicking it thinking it will open something somewhere lol

But I’m having a nice laid back time here.

Hmm. Well if a zombie apocalypse takes too long it might be eradicated.

Wait; no, that’s bullshit. We just found out people around the world are just dumb or stubborn enough, especially in my country, to let a virus proliferate.

I dunno. The Last of Us did a good job. Some of my favorite parts were the flashbacks to when the fungus was first discovered. The dread of what was to come, the way the government handled things. It was interesting.

Here’s a story I posted here. https://lemmy.world/post/1007343

All my other writing is on Reddit. I’m trying to figure out where to post it so I can work on it while letting others see it.

I am always editing things until they feel just right and get feedback. Reddit was perfect for that.

I’d love to read any of your writings.

Thanks to climate change we got 101F/38C water at the beach in Florida, US. It’s like having a free hottub!

I’m excited! I’m working on a long story whose first chapter I keep editing over and over.

I also like writing horror. I’m supposed to be working on a horror DND campaign right now too.

I like to write poetry, but can only write it in a different voice other than my own.

People are getting caught up on Einstein but it’s not about that particular man. It’s about being someone that can change the world. That is exceptional. That is beyond talented.

When I was little I realized this when I was going to school. Living in a poor neighborhood I used to watch boys do insane flips and shit like it was nothing. Like Olympic level flipping.

And it occurred to me that no one but us would ever know how talented they were because nobody was checking for us.

That’s a really sobering thing to realize as a kid.
