Maybe one like this?

A yellow smiley face as displayed by the robot GERTY in the 2009 movie "moon"

Loving this thread!

Here's mine:

  • 1Writer - lovely little markdown app
  • IceCubes - for Mastodon (Havn't seen a better mastodon client yet, not even Ivory)
  • Element X - A swift rewrite of element, the matrix client (though not yet feature complete but on a great way)
  • Amperfy - A subsonic client to stream music from any subsonic server (like navidrome)
  • Voyager - The sexiest lemmy client I've found so far

Why do cars, which are supposed to drive you from A to B, have to do with transferring your usage data via the internet?

And yet, here we are!

It's very fitting that a foundation that writes an open and privacy focused message on its flag then reviews this behaviour.

In your metaphor, the bicycle company produces shitty underwater bikes and you claim that fish wouldn't know a thing or two about swimming.

I can't even begin to see your point

Well, it might be kind of overkill, but basically you could use matrix to bridge to signal and then use a bot to do automatic answers.

The matrix ansible docker deploy playbook would be able to install everything you'd need for that:

  • synapse, the matrix server
  • mautrix-signal, the bridge to signal
  • maubot, which you could configure to do auto replies

All of those components are open source.
