I live in a state on the lower-wage side of states in the country.

Fast food places here are advertising $22+ an hour to try to attract talent. Corporations are such fucking liars.

See this is a little bit of a mischaracterization - the Earth will likely recover from climate change. The human race are the sensitive species here.

We need to rethink our rhetoric to make it clear slowing climate change is for the benefit of humans, not "the earth"

A New York appeals court on Monday agreed to hold off collection of former President Donald Trump’s $454 million civil fraud judgment — if he puts up $175 million within 10 days.

If he does, it will stop the clock on collection and prevent the state from seizing his assets while he appeals.
