I remember spending entire car rides staring out the window, imagining elaborate stories about the trees and cars racing beside me. Now, it's hard to imagine anyone surviving a long trip without a phone or tablet in hand.

Is there such a thing as a romantic horror film?

What horror film would you feel comfortable choosing to watch with a someone you don't know well for a Halloween date?

(And when I say don't know well I mean you don't them well enough to know they trust you not to be a cannibalistic psycho if you choose FRESH 🤤 So yes - you're wary of the red flags you might be sending unintentionally. )

I can't think of many...

  • ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE
  • THE FLY
  • CANDYMAN
  • THE SHAPE OF WATER
  • THE CORPSE BRIDE
  • CRIMSONPEAK

All the others I think of are either too graphic or too sexual or too twisted/too niche for an early date.

Suggestions please!

Let’s talk about something real for a second—when was the last time you had a deep conversation? Not just some surface-level chit-chat about the weather or who’s dating who, but a real, raw, soul-baring discussion that made you think? It feels like we’re losing the art of that.

Social media has turned everything into soundbites and hot takes. Everyone’s quick to tweet or post something for likes, but where’s the depth? When did we stop diving into the uncomfortable or challenging topics and start just... reacting to everything? We’ve become allergic to nuance, obsessed with being right instead of understanding each other. You ever notice how even when people do talk, it’s all about winning the argument, not learning from the conversation? Like, what happened to genuinely listening without waiting for your turn to speak?

It’s like people are scared to be vulnerable, to open up about the messy parts of life. We’re constantly scrolling, double-tapping, moving on to the next thing instead of sitting with something and exploring it fully. Have we all become so distracted that we’ve forgotten how to truly connect?

I’m curious—do you think the digital age is destroying meaningful conversation, or am I just getting old and cranky?

currently I’m on a weight loss journey meanwhile most of my highschool class are as skinny as they were senior year (some have blown up like balloons as well) I’m 26 now and I’ve seen classmates and they’re identical to when they were 17-18 years old. Is being “naturally skinny” actually a thing? As in do some people just naturally only consume 1,500 calories per day unconsciously? I know they aren’t working out

I’m trying to find costume ideas that are more of a general idea rather than a fictional character.

Think along the lines of like career costumes. Ideally not a uniform and can still be more casual and even bordering sexy ??I’ve got stuff like tennis player, Chef, Maid, Cat (animals with distinct ears), Sailor, Angel, Vampire, Cowboy…Trying to embody a fictional character just isn’t as appealing to me and I feel like it’s really easy for them to fall flat.

Maybe something I could put a fun twist on, like sleepy _, undead _, like a friend of mine did “queer sexy rave jesus” a couple years back and it was fun and easy without being on the noseIf you have any ideas at all please keep them coming !!

I am a woman and I have experienced an abusive relationship but I LEFT.

I honestly don't even wanna hear it. I give advice based on my personal experience and they just never wanna hear it. I waste my time telling them how much happier they would be if they left & all that stuff JUST FOR THEM TO GO BACK TO THE ABUSIVE MAN. I find it pathetic. I'm sick of having to constantly be empathetic towards this when women refuse to help themselves by leaving. Be stronger and know you deserve better.

If you think you deserve the shitty treatment/abuse fine THEN STAY but be quiet and quit complaining if you don't wanna do better by yourself🙄

Loud fucking people

Some people are just fucking loud. I'm sitting here in Starbucks and some jackass old man across the room is yapping so fucking loud. It's as if he's shouting and the entire fucking room can hear him yapping about some inane topic.

So loud people: are you oblivious to how loud and obnoxious you are? Do you just not give a shit?

I consider people who do this to be trashy, stupid, and obnoxious. Same category of people who FaceTime and watch YouTube and talk on their speakerphones in public places. I have contempt for every single one of you, and I will take every opportunity to be just as rude & inconsiderate to you as you are to everybody around you constantly.

They're just not.

I didn't laugh or accuse, I just kinda nodded my head agreeing it was her.
