I don't understand it either but maybe it's just people using social media in different ways than me (memes, tech info, news).

I don't even delete it. It is like a museum to me or memory journal. I did change profile picture to extremely NSFW and password to random.
I was always branded as asocial for not uploading my photos or videos to social media. Now I am admittedly near the point where I could upload something and not feel horrible but the AI seems to ruined it or will ruin it soonish :/
