This was just so cool at the time.

Great tune.

Fuck I'm old.

Elclassico.

What TV ad (UK at least) was this used in that helped make it huge at the time?

I had the CD single of this, spent pocket money on it. Great track and as others have said, it was a very early example of some guy with a computer in his room out of nowhere creating a hit single with the aid of software.

You hit the nail on the head. No high stakes, nothing is permanent, rules are arbitrary. It looks all nice and shiny, but it's just... emptiness.

I don't "care", I am discussing an opinion... that's what people do on places like ~~Reddit~~ Lemmy 🤨

Okey dokey then.

Agree - it's like they had a lot of decent enough component parts (music included), but it was all strung together horribly.

I love the movie.

I got into AIC much later on, and Unplugged was my introduction. Nutshell, Rooster, Would? So many great songs, and such a beautiful performance all round.

Completely agree - I've watched/listened countless times. Peak MTV.

Yet another classic 90's bit of nostalgia from Pearl Jam.

The whole set is worth a watch if you're into it.

Another classic MTV Unplugged performance. What can you say.

If you've somehow never managed to see the rest, the complete set is highly recommend watching/listening.

Incredible song, incredible (if sad, Layne) performance.

If you're into it, highly recommend checking out the whole set.
