yeah you can't distinguish between bots and humans. But like said in the post, currently the top100 commenting subs only take part in ~10% of the total comments. This would fit with the dead internet theory imo.

But it is also important to note that for this info the comments/day numbers come from two different sources, so it is hard to verify the validity.

The comment numbers of the top100 subreddits are from subredditstats.com, while the total is from the script used by blackout.photon-reddit.com

For subredditstats.com there is no way to see how the data is obtained/tracked.

But the blackout.photon site has its source code available. I just have not enough programming experience to tell if the comments/min number is obtained by a direct api call, or if it calculates the comment ID Delta between each call that it does (it calls the most recent comment each minute).

Die Daten werden auch über die Reddit API erhoben, denk da kann reddit auch schummeln indem es die comment ID oder Post ID überspringt, bzw. einen falschen Wert ausgibt falls es einen call für post/min oder comment/min gibt. Nicht sicher wie der im vorherigen verlinkten sourcecode die Werte genau erhält, ich habe ja nur die bereits gesammelten Daten ausgewertet.

Allgemein hat aber Askreddit am 13.06 2.4% der kompletten Kommentare am Tag ausgemacht. Momentan liegt der Wert auf ~1.5%. Die Top100 kommentierenden Subreddits machen ca 10% von der Gesamtzahl im Moment aus.

Hier habe ich in meinem Kommentar auch nochmal einen Überblick der Top 10 aktivsten Subreddits zu 3 verschiedenen Zeitpunkten.

Most traffic probably moved to Askreddit. Sadly there is no snapshot from the 13th, since this one would have the data from the 12th. During that time the comments/day peaked to 144k.

The -30% value is taken from the peak value, but doesn't look at the total amount posted per day.

So I took the data from the blackout.photon-reddit site source.

It seems that it makes a Reddit Api call every Minute searching the newest Post and Comment and calculates both per Minute rates.

I wanted to see the effect the Blackout had over the day, so I summed the data and plotted it: Seems like between 11th and 12th June the comments/day diminished by -19.2%. The posts/day saw a decline of -8.9%

The sub with the most Activity was probably Askreddit

Ich benutze https://colnect.com/de und http://opennumismat.github.io/de/ zur Katalogisierung und zur Preisinfo.

Bestimmte Münzen zwischen 1979-1986 enthalten wohl gar kein Silber und können somit nur zum Prägewert verkauft werden in einer Filiale der Bundesbank (also bei 10 DM sind das ~5€)

Falls die Münze aber Silber enthält sollte man diese lieber zum tagesaktuelle Silberkurs verkaufen für einen besseren Preis. Je nach Silbergehalt und Kurs kann das dann schon auch bis zu ~10€ sein.

Hab mal die Quelldaten vom Artikel verfolgt und die Originaldaten von blackout.photon-reddit.com auf den Tag aufsummiert. Die Originaldaten nutzen die Reddit Api um jede Minute die Comments und Posts zu zählen.

Naja die Kommentare sind ja normalerweise bei so ~7000/min. In den ersten beiden Tagen sind die Kommentare auf 5500/min gefallen. Das sind etwas mehr als 21% an Rückgang.

Wobei ich auch eher lieber die Infos von den Kommentaren und Posts pro Stunde oder pro Tag sehen will, statt die Peakwerte zu vergleichen.

Man sollte auch beachten dass es einige Spamposts während dem Blackout gab, wie die aktion von r/photoshopbattles mit den schwarzen bildern oder die fuck u/spez commentchain von r/Anarchychess.

r/Askreddit hat auch einen deutlichen Zuwachs an Comments und Posts während dieser Zeit gesehen

Sounds kinda like they are trying to grab "power" aka. growing their community more than others through exclusivity.

Well if that turns out to be the case other communities can probably just block them in return, but still not a fan of that development

IT is not in my field of knowledge. Don't have enough time and competence to handle a project like that
