Google claims that privacy is a priority

lmfao

You can somewhat protect your own privacy via VPNs, adblockers... I personally use TrackerControl, which for the most part can identify and block unnecessary trackers and URL connections on an app-by-app basis to better protect your privacy

Trying this, and on first glance, UI seems to be a bit clunky compared to Boost or Eternity. Would like to see an option to keep the bottom tab bar visible when scrolling, that would be nice

Changing the subscriptions/main feed sort order doesn't apply sometimes until I close and reopen the app

Still has a lot of potential, nice seeing these new client apps being worked on for Lemmy!

You can get it if you've enabled the IzzyOnDroid repo

Obtainium. For all those cool apps you find on GitHub, GitLab, FDroid, Izzy, APKPure, and more. In some cases you can add your own links and it'll try to scrape them for APKs for app updates

is accessing other communities of other instances what this app helps with?

can someone explain how exactly Lemmy works? I was told it was something like an alternative to reddit, but I don't understand what instances are

Right now I'm using Infinity, both for Lemmy and Reddit. What advantages/differences would I get by switching clients?
