I used to almost never post on reddit, but on here I have been posting OC content, commenting and I have even created a community (https://lemmy.world/c/cancer)

Glad to hear that it's been relatively easy on you. And of course even happier to heat that it is working!

And yes I have in fact, but just once, someone who was both allergic to and fearful of cats no matter their size or cute appearance.

I wholeheartedly agree, fuck cancer. I'm glad you're still here! And thank you for posting and helping this community grow.

How are you handeling immunotherapy?

First of all sorry to hear that you're going through this. I'm happy to hear that you are getting on with your life! I think it is great that you're using your experiences to inform other women who might find themself in the same situation as you! Knowledge really is power and we do deserve care that allows us to live fulfilling lives both during and after treatment. I feel that sometimes life after treatment isn't considered or talked about enough during treatment, which is somewhat understandable, survival comes first, but quality of life after treatment is so important as well. Thanks for posting, I hope you're recovering well from your surgery!

Hodgkin's is a type of lymphoma, basically a blood cancer that manifests itself in lymph nodes, can be anywhere in your body or in your bone marrow as well.

Normally you might do both chemo and radiation on a large area as treatment, as lymphomas usualy respond very well to radiation, but initially my hematologist decided against radiation as some of the tumors were located close to my heart, so we did 6 rounds of chemo instead of 4 followed by radiation.

But then my cancer decided to stick around till after the chemo, and a para-sternal lymphnode still lit up at the after treatment scan (a lymphnode next to the sternum between the lung and the ribs), so they radiated a small area basically around where that lymph node was.

I highly recommend catquest 2. It is an rpg adventure type game, or catventure, as they call it themselves. The game is exactly the right kind of difficult for a couch coop game (reminiscent of the legp games), controls aren't to challenging and the main characters are a cat and a dog saving the world. Additionally the game has some great puns/dadjokes like the afore-mentioned catventure, purrrfect and other stuff like that. Also you get to fight dragons, need i say more?

I'm glad that it worked! Please feel free to post to the community, it is going to need content to grow and for people to be able to find it more easily.

Are you using an app to try and upload? For some reason wefwef won't upload pictures for me either (not just in this community but in others as well). Liftoff (another app) or the browser do work for me. Which is a shame since so far I'm liking wefwef the most for browsing, finding communities and commenting.

Let me know if this solves the problem for you as well!

I'll start by posting here myself, hopefully more posts and interaction will draw more people jere so we can start to build a supportive community.

I'm in my late 20s diagnosed about a year ago with Hodgkins lymphoma. I did six cycles of abvd, midway scan looked great, end of treatment scan however, not so much. One tiny spot in my chest still lit up (deauville 5) so back to the hospital. Normal course of action would be more chemo followed by an auto stemcell transplant, however, as tge scan only showed evidence of cancer in one location my hematologist suggested trying radiation therapy first. I've currently finished 18 days of radiation and I'm awaiting another pet scan (next week) to see if the radiation put me into remission or if I'm going back into treatment for more chemo and an auto transplant.

I'd love to hear from other people, whether your situation is good or bad. Or if you just want to vent or post about (funny) situations at the hospital, almost anything goes.

I've personally found humor to be a great way to deal with everything.
