Occasionally in response to things like floods and other disasters. Though then it's usually local and short lived.

The secret to good engineering is to know when 1+1 should be 3 and when it should be 1.

Yeah but what they are going to do is make sure they get those protections back. They aren't going to get better.

Early game the main use is for underground to allow different belt lines to cross. Take a look at the standard green circuit setup 3 copper to wire assemblers direct feed into 2 iron + wire to green. It uses underground to move iron past the output.

For better belts upgraded when you need the speed. When your yellow can't push enough product to feed your machines. Also better underground belts can go father between ends. 4, 6, 8 empty tiles for yellow, red, blue.

There was at least one attempt. Back before git the linux kernel was in 1 central repo. There was also a backup repo. It was compromised with a very clever backdoor.

The backdoor was caught but only because it didn't have a reference to the mainline repo.

if ((options == (__WCLONE|__WALL)) && (current->uid = 0)) retval = -EINVAL;

Note the user uid is being set (=) to root instead of being checked(==) for root.

The full story.

You can do belt weaving. 2 or 3 transport lines in the same lane. So if B is Blue and R is Red. BBRRBBRR two goods on red and two goods on blue. 4 goods moving in 1 tile wide strip.

Also if using each side of a belt for different goods you can use the underneath entry shroud to block one side by feeding into it from the side.

You don't even need to use both parts. Just place an entry and rotate it to make it an exit and feed from the side.

Yeah the movie is... mixed at best. The book is the best horror novel I've read. The movie makes so much more sense If you read the book.

I still don't understand why he changed the core item from a sword hilt to a magic bazooka.

Liability. He hasn't been convicted so they are being as factually correct as they can be.

Sous vide is mainly used for meats but you can do some neat things with it and beans. I've had lentils come outv with an almost caviar texture/feel.

I was in the line to get tickets for Leeds Castle in UK. Some guy got off a bus ran past the line to the ticket guy. He started slamming his hands down and yelling "Fish and Chips" over and over again.

The ticket guy wasn't selling any food and wasn't going to sell him a ticket unless he got in line. After about 2 minutes of this he just got back on the bus.

A portion of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore has collapsed after a large boat collided with it early on Tuesday morning, sending multiple vehicles into the water.

At about 1.30am, a vessel crashed into the bridge, catching fire before sinking and causing multiple vehicles to fall into the water below, according to a video posted on X.

“All lanes closed both directions for incident on I-695 Key Bridge. Traffic is being detoured,” the Maryland Transportation Authority posted on X.

Matthew West, a petty officer first class for the coastguard in Baltimore, told the New York Times that the coastguard received a report of an impact at 1.27am ET. West said the Dali, a 948ft (29 metres) Singapore-flagged cargo ship, had hit the bridge, which is part of Interstate 695.
