I was just going to say Dune is a definite exception unless they screw it up after the previous lay-up. But that's where we are in society. It's sad my knee-jerk reaction to new content is cynicism. It used to be hype all the way.
It almost seems like we need another community just for new TV and media in general. Star Wars is one thing, but so many IPs are following suit that maybe we need a community of just bad storytelling in general. And I'm not talking anything specifically political. People these days do NOT know how to make a good story. It's irritating and exhausting to try and keep up. That's why I have just stopped. I'm honestly done with new TV and movies in general.

Absolutely. This is like the 4th post here? I created this area because like you, I want nothing to do with Reddit any longer. And during the high turnover period, people would say "just create the community and don't wait for others to do it." I did that but I have zero inclination or time to moderate a community currently in my life.
So seriously, vent your frustrations, talk about your thoughts and thank you for sharing your experience. I haven't quite started looking at other avenues so it's eye opening.

I would normally enjoy an app but seriously. Using the the browser is really not that bad. I'll still be waiting for Sync though since I'm a loyalist. But for now the browser is even better than that which we should not name here.
At the time, George was surrounded by "Yes men" and "Yes women". It amazes me just how many endings just kept adding up from A New Hope to the Phantom Menace. ANH had one, ESB had two, ROTJ had three and TPM had four damn endings. Everyone thought he could do no wrong and the same damn thing happened with Disney. Even I was naive.
Now they are gonna screw up another IP with Indiana Jones. It's sad and pathetic.
I was about 19 when the prequels came out and I don't know if it was hate. It was definitely confusion and a distraction with the hyper lightsaber fights. The acting was definitely horrible but when was Star Wars ever about the acting? I feel it was more about the mythology and storytelling. Now with the Disney Star Wars, it's all about the churning of material and having no clue on a storyboard. They had zero clue what to make the Disney Trilogy about and it was all Mad Libs.
