This was my primary driver as well. I just want all my music easily accessible.

Man if I had an LG phone with Quad DAC I'm pretty sure I wouldn't need a DAP either. I agree with the pricing though. Most modern DAPs are ridiculously expensive for what they do. But they're not the only option available. The one I got was only $123
The adoption of Hi-Res tracks on mainstream streaming services is a good sign at least. But from what I've read, it all boils down to people having a harder time recognizing higher quality audio. It's easy to see the difference between an sd video and a 1080p one. Many people don't get exposed to good headphones and speakers either. You can't recognize a difference if you never hear it. Ignorance is bliss as they say.
I have a BTR5 and it is indeed good at what it does. I just don't get the same satisfaction from it as plugging into a headphone jack. The DAP is still fairly new so I'll see if it still appeals to me down the line.
The Fifth science by Exurb1a. It's a collection of short stories in a shared universe. Love it so far. Author has a good youtube channel if you're into that.
Been using Silverblue for a few months now. Has its quirks but overall quite satisfied. Haven't had anything happen that made me wanna switch.
I've used NordVPN since 2017. Never had any issues.
