  1. Prepare AeroPress.
  2. Weigh 230 grams of water and pour it into an empty kettle.
  3. Weigh 12 grams of coffee beans.
  4. Put the kettle on the stove.
  5. Grind the coffee.
  6. Put the coffee grounds into the AeroPress.
  7. When the kettle boils, let the water cool down a bit, it will be around the required temperature.
  8. Brew the coffee using the Hoffman's recipe (12 grams of coffee, 200 grams of water).
  9. Wait 10 minutes to get right coffee temperature.

It takes 8 minutes to make coffee and 10 minutes to cool it down to circa 50 degrees celsius.

The safest way is to try different coffees in some good coffee shops. We don't know what coffee do you like. Do you need nutty or chocolaty tastes only? Or do you like fruity notes? What do you prefer? By tasting differently roasted coffee brewed using different methods, you can find out what do you need.

It's because lemmy.world invalidated tokens. Re-login fixes the issue.

I prefer another framing:

Liberalism is not related to posting or not posting critical articles. So, the meme and the text are not related in any way.

Accuracy defines the final coffee taste. Coffee grounds amount contributes to coffee strength, and water amount contributes to extraction. The more water you add, the more bitter your coffee becomes for the same time period. So, if you want to get the taste you like every time, you need to measure both coffee grounds and water precisely.

I'd suggest you a good grinder, AeroPress and scales. AeroPress is forgiving and versatile, it can brew both light and medium roasts. As to grinder, it's up to your budget, but if you're planning to upgrade your setup later, it's cheaper to start with better but more expensive grinder than buying cheap one and later more expensive one. Scales allow to keep exact water to coffee ratio and get consistent results. Scoops and water marks on AeroPress are not that accurate.

Congratulations! Yeah, the more water you add, the more extraction you get.

There's "Block community" in the three dots menu.

I tried only Jerboa and Liftoff. Liftoff has a customizable UI, all the features I need, and tells when a post or comment was made (unlike Jerboa).
