Unpopular opinion ahead:

Looking back through history the problem is how you define integration.

The lady said: . “We contribute. We are lawyers, doctors, journalists, healthcare, normal people who are part of Sweden.” ans she is absolutely right but in my opinion this just means they have economically integrated, they are net contributors to that (local) economy but not necessarily to the society.

Sweden had it's own society values and religion well established before they emigrated. From the social point of view they are building a parallel Sweden society that doesn't want or has no interest in integrating the local preexisting values.

They don't want Sweden, they want their Sweden, so naturally this conflict arises.

You're correct about the Appolo missions, but don't tell me the Space Race was about science. It's was fully politically motivated also. Without the Cold War nobody would have put the money and effort in so the Moon landing could happen in '69.

There are a lot of other missions that happened for pure scientific reasons but I don't think this is one of them.

I understand your point of view and it's correct but not realistic. This mission is bashed because it's purpose was never science but propaganda. To validate a Phoenix like revival of the Russian empire. That they are strong and relevant on the world scene. The reactions to the failure were in tune with the intended purpose of the mission. Science (like usual) is the background of the political agenda.

Nobody gives a fuck about Russia's scientific endeavours when they're re starting the biggest military conflict in Europe since WWII and threatening everyone with a nuclear conflict.

Most probably any scientific progress that could be made will not be used for mankind's progress but for the current militaristic propaganda.

They cannot be corrupt and amoral in the same time. Please choose :)

You're basically arguing that corporations should have some sort of social persona/existance. That means they will have some sort of a degree of responsibility towards people that are involved with the company additional than making profit and the minimum that is required by the law.

Well my friend when everbody flocked to Chrome or one of the various clones because they like it they gave power to Google whether they like it or not. And now Google is using this power against the user in it's best interest because they like it (to be read "can").
