Hmmm also seems to happen in the Jerboa app. It just opens it as an image. I didn't even realize it was supposed to move

Thx for the response! Maybe I'll have to check out some launchers then. Kinda weird that it's not just a base Android feature to change an icon.
Looks way better! Not sure how to configure this tho. I should probably have a custom launcher or something for that?
Yeah this is quite an annoying issue so far. It keeps popping up randomly. Not sure if it's related, but sometimes after this happens I also get a blank screen. I can live with it tho, growing pains are to be expected
I noticed the same, and my hypothesis is that after a certain time inactive accounts are deleted. The accounts seem to spike a few months before that "crash" in user count. Also, if you look at "active in the last month" you see that many of those new joiners didn't remain active even for a month.
My laptop is my oldest install, running Ubunutu. Started out on 14.04 and I've been updating ever since. My desktop runs Arch, although it used to be Antergos. I kinda convinced it to be Arch after Antergos died so I kept getting updates. Finally I'm currently trying Fedora on my secondary PC filled with old hardware from previous builds.
Honestly, out of these I personally like Fedora most currently. It seems to have up-to-date enough packages and seems quite stable. The AUR on Arch is a powerful thing, but it can also be quite hit or miss. While Ubuntu was fine as a first distro, I don't really like how outdated all the packages are. I've had quite a few cases where packages where more than a year out of date.
This one definitely has potential. Some stuff looks janky, but given that it launches in 2024 that's totally normal and there's still plenty of time to fix that. The graphics look amazing and there's plenty of cool mechanics in the trailer already such as asking Nix to interact with all kinds of environment objects, the blaster modes, and the flying and speeder.
I deleted all my comments and posts on my main (12 yr) and alt (4 yr) accounts, and also fully deleted my alt. I'm also finding it hard to fully deleted my main as of now, so I'm keeping it to keep an eye on the collapse of everything. Once baconreader stops working I'll delete my account for good, and I've already hidden the app on my phone so I can't easily open it anymore (and put Lemmy in it's place).
Yeah it's a bit of a learning experience. I had similar issues yesterday, but I'm getting the hang of it
That's true, and also my mentality. But when I want to fix my PC and my only lead is a post about the issue with a deleted comment followed by "that fixed it, thx!", I don't think I will be as appreciative of this idea. Reddit was a beautiful source of information and it's kinda painful to see all of that going. Nevertheless I've also wiped my profile since most of it was no longer necessary anyway.
