Wow! Who would have thought that tin in the back of my cupboard would be in demand.

I get that. I didn’t watch Avatar until a few months back.

$130. It was gross and spitting out black fluffy stuff and the dude used cleaning spray and a pressure water spray to clean out all the crap between the metal fins. The crap that came out from flushing it was like a water cooler bottle size that was black and less transparent than coke. Money well spent.

It also runs way better now and probably saving me a crapload on electricity. Before on 26c full blast hardly heated and now on 22c one fan bar it’s warm as fuck. I guess the fins inside the system don’t work if they are clogged with mould/cat fur which seems like common sense now I think about it.

Agreed. Android boxes are way cheaper. I’m still using a 4 year old mibox s and it works great with the usual streaming apps. The only benefit appletv has is if you want to use airplay or whatever it’s called. I have an iPhone and can still stream Spotify to android with no issues.

Just out of interest, why? Just have no interest or haven’t got around to it etc…?

That’s what I was thinking. Draino works a treat. If it’s tree roots though causing it you are fucked.

Mitsubishi Electric are still decent. Mine is around 10 years old and I let it get dirty and never serviced it. It was full of cat fur and mould. I paid someone to do a full clean and now it works like new.

Really liking the recent updates. Just out of interest, is there a way to sort comments by new? Maybe I’m missing something but I can’t seem to find a button to change the comment sorting order.

Spam bots or spam servers? Everyone is saying regulate signups for servers but anyone can spin up a Lemmy server and spam with thousands of accounts until they are defedarated. Then 5 minutes later do it again with a new server. It’s not hard to setup a Lemmy server.
