Sounds like someone's pouting about losing a swing battle - aren't moderators supposed to have decorum or something? I think you broke at least three forum rules with this post, squab. On top of that switching up the format is dirty pool, but that's alright, chump - I can fight dirty too.

So, the crow thinks he can sing 'ey? Well you ain't felt silk until you've heard Cissie's voice. Bring it bird, gimme that swing...

My, heart is giving you love
Try, not to need you so much
You were the one right from the start
Your eyes were saying the same
But now it seems I was easy to save
I'm gonna shoot you down
Oh, you've given your heart away
I love you from the start
Oh, you've given your heart away
I love you from the start
Say what you say or do what you do
Why don't you be my lover
I mean what I say I'll make you pay
But you better run for cover
You, gave me diamonds and gold
A heart, that was easily sold
Fell for your lies, dangerous charms
Set myself up for a fall
But now it seems I was easy to save
I'm gonna shoot you down
I, was only a stepping stone
I loved you all the same
Now, you've given your heart away and I will make you pay
Say what you say or do what you do
Why don't you be my lover
I mean what I say and I'll make you pay
But you better run for cover
Gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme that swing
Gimme that swing
Gimme that swing
Now, I have seen through your lies
I, have no reason to hide
Now that I'm fine
You better believe I won't wait around for your call
Honey I see you're the reason to change
I'm gonna shoot you down
Oh, you've given your heart away
I love you from the start
Oh, you've given your heart away
I love you from the start
Say what you say or do what you do
Why don't you be my lover
I mean what I say I'll make you pay
But you better run for cover

Jean Reinhardt (23 January 1910 – 16 May 1953), known by his Romani nickname Django (French: [dʒãŋɡo ʁɛjnaʁt] or [dʒɑ̃ɡo ʁenɑʁt]), was a Romani-Belgian jazz guitarist and composer. He was one of the first major jazz talents to emerge in Europe and has been hailed as one of its most significant exponents.

With violinist Stéphane Grappelli, Reinhardt formed the Paris-based Quintette du Hot Club de France in 1934. The group was among the first to play jazz that featured the guitar as a lead instrument. Reinhardt recorded in France with many visiting American musicians, including Coleman Hawkins and Benny Carter, and briefly toured the United States with Duke Ellington's orchestra in 1946. He died suddenly of a stroke in 1953 at the age of 43.

Reinhardt's most popular compositions have become standards within gypsy jazz, including "Minor Swing", "Daphne", "Belleville", "Djangology", "Swing '42", and "Nuages". Jazz guitarist Frank Vignola says that nearly every major popular-music guitarist in the world has been influenced by Reinhardt. Over the last few decades, annual Django festivals have been held throughout Europe and the U.S., and a biography has been written about his life. In February 2017, the Berlin International Film Festival held the world premiere of the French film Django.

So I decided to go get kaylied up at the wingding that Caravan Palace flophouse is throwing for its grand re-opening. @BuckarooBanzai's cats were right, this is a place where a guy could get dizzy with a dame when the dime drops.

Well, that covers a lot of ground. Say, you cover a lot of ground yourself. You better beat it - I hear they're going to tear you down and put up an office building where you're standing. You can leave in a taxi. If you can't get a taxi, you can leave in a huff. If that's too soon, you can leave in a minute and a huff. You know, you haven't stopped talking since I came here? You must have been vaccinated with a phonograph needle.

Duck Soup is a 1933 American pre-Code musical black comedy film written by Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby, with additional dialogue by Arthur Sheekman and Nat Perrin, directed by Leo McCarey. The Triplets of Belleville (French: Les Triplettes de Belleville) is a 2003 animated comedy film written and directed by Sylvain Chomet. It was released as Belleville Rendez-vous in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The film is Chomet's first feature film and was an international co-production among companies in France, Belgium, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The film features the voices of Lina Boudreault, Mari-Lou Gauthier, Michèle Caucheteux, Jean-Claude Donda, Michel Robin, and Monica Viegas. There is little dialogue; much of the narrative is conveyed through song and pantomime. It tells the story of Madame Souza, an elderly woman who goes on a quest to rescue her grandson Champion, a Tour de France cyclist, who has been kidnapped by the French mafia for gambling purposes and taken to the city of Belleville (an amalgam of Paris, New York City, Montreal and Quebec City). She is accompanied by Champion's loyal and obese hound, Bruno, and joined by the Triplets of Belleville, music hall singers from the 1930s, whom she meets in the city.

The film was highly praised by audiences and critics for its unique style of animation and has since gained a cult following. The film was nominated for two Academy Awards—Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for "Belleville Rendez-vous". It was also screened out of competition (hors concours) at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival.

Battleship Potemkin (Russian: Броненосец «Потёмкин», tr. Bronenosets Potyomkin), sometimes rendered as Battleship Potyomkin, is a 1925 Soviet silent drama film produced by Mosfilm. Directed and co-written by Sergei Eisenstein, it presents a dramatization of the mutiny that occurred in 1905 when the crew of the Russian battleship Potemkin rebelled against its officers.

In 1958, the film was voted on Brussels 12 list at the 1958 World Expo. Battleship Potemkin is widely considered one of the greatest films of all time. In the most recent Sight and Sound critics' poll in 2022, it was voted the fifty-fourth-greatest film of all time, and it had been placed in the top 10 in many previous editions.

Funny guy, ole Sergei. Met him at playing rats and mice at casino in Mexico City in the 30s. Had a haircut only a mother could love. He was a bit of a rube - had gotten all gowed-up at the Rivera house partying with the greasers and was workin' on the giggle juice by the time he ran into me, but his game was silk, and he won enough to keep makin' his "moving frescoes" for another month before Stalin dragged his ass back to Russia. Ended up drinking out of the same bottle, and he showed me a few of his flicks - the man had a rare talent, creating the concept of montage in film.

All right - that's some action I can get behind. Let's jump in the jesus jalopy and breeze it before the bird sends the bulls. But I gotta hear this malarkey about your family - still ain't sure whether you're swell or a skid rogue.

Thought you'd make a clean sneak, chump? No palooka is gonna make patsy out of me, even if he's the biggest bruno in this dump. "Personal complications?" Like bein' yellow? Baloney! You better spill the beans or I'm gonna have Pops fill you full of daylight.

You youngin's and your noise - you chumps wouldn't know class if it came up and bit you on the ass. Here's some education for you rubes on real melody and grace: the eternal Queen of Paris, Joséphine Baker.

So I ain't seen Nemo around yet, so maybe kickin' this door will open up a way for him to get in. I think he's nervous with all that ugly Disneyifcation you savages inflict on young dreamers.

For you rubes who wish the golden age of comics were here again, that door above is a mighty fine entrance to the Digital Comic Museum. A fair chunk of the gang I knew in the golden age reside there, and they'd love a visit, even though the walls could use a new coat of paint. That "preview" button they've got on their download pages opens up the comic for you to read.

Here's some other doors to to the rest of Slumberland, because I'm gonna keep kickin' in doors until I find that chump. He's a bobblehead, but he's my best friend.
