i was being over dramatic here, but i just dont see how adding the local view is that big of a change. We already have the all and subscription views, i consider local view part of core functionality.

i used Apollo for years and never realized it had that. The main search tab at the bottom was typically my workflow for searching reddit.

Why? Whats the point of having multiple accounts on different instances then? for example, ide like to login to my programming.dev account and view local communities only on that instance rather than manually subscribe to every one of their communities. If this is really true and they don’t plan on adding it, then RIP mlem. Was fun while it lasted. Guess ill just have to use memmy instead, they are compatible with ipad too so all the more reason.

It’s definitely possible, just not programmed currently. If they don’t add that then i’ll probably just use memmy instead.

just not the way it was originally coded i guess. Keep in mind, the beehaw admins intend to refederate with lemmy.world eventually. They are waiting until the moderator tools get a little better and they can handle the outer world. Last i heard, there was only like 4 mods on the whole instance.

Thats terrifying. Probably not a good mind set to have for actually working out either lol

Ive pretty much always used quest guides unless its just a super easy quest. Props to the people who just go in blind and figure it out. At this point in my life i just don’t have that kind of time due to other responsibilities. If i have done the quest before and know the story, ill skip through some dialogues, but if its new to me I try to slow down and enjoy/understand the story too.

There is a sort of beauty and simplicity about the ironman play style. Things have value for what they actually do, not whether or not they are easy to buy low/sell high. You actually have to get all items from npcs or drops or game rewards. I like ranarr seeds to training farming/selling herbs to ge, my herblore level is still too low to make potions for now.
