I know nothing about this author but people always recommend his books. Is OP wrong? Or is there missing context.

Same here. It's company policy to review remote workers space to make sure it's not in a place where client information can be overhead/people can see the screen. My boss is really lax about it and just requires me to unblur for a minute, tops.

Agreed with your point that we just need to stop supporting businesses that use the the tip system. We also need to reward restaurants with our business for moving away from that great depression structure and pay livable wages. If a business can't afford to pay it's employees then that business shouldn't exist. Tip culture these days is just a way for restaurants to advertise less for menu prices. Just raise your prices by 20% and pay that to the server.

Now there is a portion of servers that are against this, because they work in high scale fine dining places where they make more than 80% of other servers in diners and sports bars elsewhere, and that kinda sucks that they'd promote this antiquated system since it works for a select few.

This line never made sense. Does anyone WANT to work? I don't think most want to spend majority of their life making someone else money. Like I'm sure some people find fulfillment in their jobs but for most who are just cogs in a machine, pretty sure they don't want to work. They HAVE to work to make a living.

I sure would love to not work and focus on building/maintaining communities, a job in public works would be ideal but they don't pay enough and require too much.

As someone with a close friend that's getting brainwashed by Republican propaganda( he got into blue collar work, thinks Dump is pro blue collar), there's just no winning, no amount of logical reasoning matters. Arguing against their "truth" is arguing against their community and support system. It's neigh impossible to convince them when they just google "FOX NEWS/NEWSMAX TELL ME IM RIGHT" and counter your reputable sources with bs.

I honestly thought it was a bad idea to pivot to Harris but I was happily proven wrong. There's so much excitement and energy surrounding her. Like a breath of fresh air. Glad to see it.

Her dad is Jamaican and her mom is Indian. Her dad might be half black, I'm not sure. I keep seeing republican memes saying she's not black or 25% black. Just endless memes trying to attack her on anything they can. Like, that's not even important, we have a real competent candidate and that's more than I can say about Dump.

Even as a vegetable, Biden's administration wouldn't let the country fall into a kleptocracy. And that's enough for me.
