There was a video by "More Perfect Union" where they went around a Trump rally asking what they wanted from a president. Surprisingly, they wanted more taxes for the rich and expanded worker's rights.

So yeah, I bet that appealing to conservative talking points doesn't work at all. No wonder that Tim Walz is pretty popular in his state on both sides, considering that he is pretty pro union and progressive.

What is this, Crusader Kings?

From what I heard, the writing isn't as good as previous games, notably Origins. Very light-hearted in general.

Do you have enough swap allocated to your linux machine? I found that my GUI froze frequently due to not having enough of it when the computer was under heavy load.

Revit, Tekla, AutoCAD, the usual. I have tried out FreeCAD but found it clunky to use comparably.

There was a video by uricksaladbar analyzing Chloe's character and I'm surprised that some people even like her after watching it. I guess it was one of the first lesbian couples in gaming, so people praised it for the inclusivity and ignored the severe character flaws present in Chloe.

I use Linux and none of the programs I need for structural engineering work on Linux.

Trust me, I would totally ditch the dual boot if I could, but sadly, I can't

The trolley problem implies that the bystander knows what flipping the switch would do though? Same as the US election, since I doubt that Democrats would start actively oppressing trans people or women (unless they start compromising on issues).

I guess I was too hasty in calling them dumb, thanks for the recommendation, I'll have to check it out later.

Amazing how anprims are dumb enough to reject modern medicine.

I think that Victoria 2 and CK2 are definitely some of the hardest to learn pdx games, but HOI4 is close to the top.

Currently one of the most popular mods on the Steam workshop, it introduces the West coast of North America to HOI4, including such canon factions as the NCR and Caesar's Legion, while also seamlessly integrating in its own lore about Mexico, Canada, Colorado, Oregon and other regions.

It has custom music, 3D models, an entirely different technology tree to the base game, a hand built map, an economy system and around 92 unique focus trees (not including all of the amazing submods that have been created). Currently the mod is in version 4.2 and will add in new content in the Northern areas of the mod in 5.0, slowly adding in the whole North American continent from West to East.

The only main downside would be the learning curve of HOI4 in general, however Old World Blues is fairly forgiving to new players if they do not play one of the major nations (such as Caesar or the NCR).

I personally recommend new players to play such nations as: the Texas Brotherhood (you have a technological advantage); New Vegas (you are not the target of many wars); Lanius's Cohort (you are much stronger than your surrounding neighbours, who you will try to conquer).

Though it may be recommended to watch a few tutorials of HOI4 before starting (Bitt3rsteel has an amazing beginner's tutorial on his YouTube channel).
