@jul @that_leaflet Outdated because of a lack of knowledge about driver that came out six months ago and still, to your own admission, has major bugs on everyday use compared to AMD? Doesn't change my opinion in the least.
My only issue with AMD on Linux has been wanting to use Stable Diffusion, and that's more due to the fact that it's hard to get it to work at all on Linux, no matter your GPU.
@whotookkarl @Tywele RedHat 6 was mine (along with Mandrake and Suse) in the late-90s, but I moved to Fedora when it came out and used it until KDE 4.0 came out and ruined my highly optimized KDE 3.5 desktop and moved to Ubuntu until raging landfill conflagration that was GNOME 3.0.
Then, honestly, Windows 7 came out and was "good enough" until I started using a macOS laptop and realized how much Windows 11 sucked and, eventually, got a Steam Deck for games. Now my main PC runs Bazzite.
@lepinkainen @mesamunefire It was faster on Wine "back in the day" when it was THE game to play.
Though, it runs wonderfully on Apple Silicon, mostly because it's Apple Silicon native.
