After-School Hanako-kun (Hōkago Shōnen Hanako-kun) spinoff manga will get a four-episode sequel in fall 2024.
Nice! I was confused when no episode 5 showed up since there wasn't really any sign that the season was over. I really enjoyed the bite sized episodes and feel it might work a bit better.
I'm not sure where I fall on this show still. On one hand, the characters are all really good and the artwork is really nice. On the other side, the "secretly overpowered" thing is not really working for me. I'm guessing nobody but the queen and the maid, plus her dad, know about her power, otherwise it wouldn't even be a question of her being on the council. But I also can't see how it would work if she knew out about her power, since her self doubt is integral to her character.
Will keep going with it, as it's still mostly enjoyable. Hopefully they find a way to satisfactorily reconcile things.
This show is really enjoyable. I really like that I get to learn about the customs as Maomao does without it feeling like exposition dumps. She's such a great character. I look forward to this one every week, and will be sad when it's over.
This show is really good at tugging my heartstrings. The stories they tell are just so real. I was really worried that something bad (worse) had happened to Uta to create such a huge change in personality. I was happy it turned out to just be the boyfriend was a turd. Kinda goes back to the point of "are you sure you should have said yes just like that? you don't know this guy"
Also was great to see Minato googling what dating is, and deciding "nah, that's not the relationship I want with her." I kind of hope they keep the best friends vibes going, but they've still paved the way towards a friends to lovers story if they want to.
This has been a pleasant surprise I picked up on a whim this season. I'm glad I did.
This is low key one of my favorite rom-coms this season. I really like how cute and airy it is most of the time, and Ryuto is definitely a real one. I am also pretty glad to see they're not inserting drama with silly "i can explain/i don't want to hear it" scenarios. They're resolving things with communication and honesty, which is awesome.
Still really enjoying this one, but it feels like his harem is getting a bit too crowded too quick. Shino just got added basically, and now Mirika is coming in full steam.
I also find it hard to believe that everyone is so forgiving about being drugged twice for nefarious purposes. Guess it's a matter of "so the show can happen."
Went into this show completely blind, and have to say it's one of my favorites this season. Early on candidate for AOTS for me. Once the show is complete I may have to pick up the source material, as I hear it is also amazing.
This show just keeps getting more and more bonkers. I'm really digging it.
Finally a story focused episode. Seems like most of this season has been filler or side story stuff. Also, having this arc be Yor focused is great, as she has felt a lot like an afterthought for a while
I switched to this a few days ago, and it was working great till last night. Now youtube just comes up to the Ad Blocker Detected message and nothing plays. Edit Nevermind. I just discovered that Firefox had also installed AdBlock for some reason without my knowledge. I removed AdBlock and it works again.
Are they trying to set up the Prince as a foil for Hawke? Going the handsome manly-man vs the nerdy intellectual that can keep up with her?
Still really enjoying this show every week, and excited to see how this current arc ends.
