I was shocked at how quickly Recently Hired Maid got old. On paper, that show should have been a guaranteed win for me, and the first 2 episodes it was, and then...it was just the same situation every time.

I enjoyed this show overall, but I feel like it got too spread out and really convoluted. I wish they had kept the focus on maybe one or two things, rather than starting so many threads and really making progress on none of them. I really enjoyed the "fish out of water" of the first couple of episodes, and the dynamic with the special cops. Then you bring in the family, Lemmings, the Firebug, Solitaire, the secret society, the ninja clan, the past, etc. and there didn't seem to be enough time for anything to stick out.

If it gets a season 2 I will watch it, but I really hope they try to close out some of the threads or pick something to focus on

*Anyway, I wonder how it will be received by viewers who are not part of Love Live fandom. * It's me. I've never engaged with Love Live at all, and was unaware that this show was affiliated. I saw a new show on CR, so I gave it a shot. I really enjoyed it thinking it was a standalone show. I'm not normally one for idol shows, so knowing now that it's part of a huge franchise, I wonder if things will stay small/localized. Definitely saw enough to keep watching though.
