Yes, but it is really inefficient. If we simply ignore the nuke threat it would probably take the US a month of bombing to restore pre 2014 borders.

I am guessing that outside of the frontlines bombings are still fairly rare events. Risk is low enough for installing proper windows, but high enough to ensure there are not enough.

This already started with the Vietnam war, where France warned the US not to get involved. There’s a lesson here but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

The first problem is the polarisation. If people that are perceived to be Democrats call out a general strike, 50 percent won’t participate. Vice versa if perceived GOP does this. The polarisation and politicisation of every topic is what stops you from organising effectively.

To be honest I was very worried that he would assign competent and evil people to his cabinet positions. Somewhat relieved that he has only appointed clowns so far.

Then stop upvoting this stuff! During election time every damn article upvoted here was about i.) horse race reporting or ii.) Trump outrage. We have to stop clicking these links and sharing the articles.

This would imply years of (effectively) being out of power. Even if by some miracle you would win the presidential election, you would have no local infrastructure to build on. It would give the GOP effective power in many states for an another decade.

On the other hand, look at how easy it was for Trump to completely hijack the GOP. That’s the model you should aim for.

I can see why you could be concerned about the details of her home building plan (I am too). But let’s face it, this election was not lost because Kamala did not provide policy details. I would love for campaigns to revolve around these, but they don’t.

Essentially everybody in the cabinet will be a rapist in one form or another. This is a given since people elected a child rapist into office. It simply won’t matter. Instead, ask the question what Gaetz will do in office that is bad for voters. Playing on the man cannot help us anymore.

Anybody chosen by Trump is expected to be a horrible person. This type of reporting is useless since it will not change a single mind. Tell us why the policy positions of this guy are bad for the US, instead of telling us what we already know.

Right… show one electable Dem candidate who said this. I get so tired of this fucking shit conflating what a few voters said with what a candidate for office says. It’s the Trump campaign that wants to denaturalise citizens and deport them. Deportation has not ever been part of the Democratic platform. You cannot equate what a few people on an anonymous discussion forum say with the words of the elected president.

Latinos have been a huge concern for the Dems since 2020, as they supported Biden to a far lesser extent than HRC. They may have done a bad job at targeting them, but no way the campaign took them for granted.
