Not the same, but similar - I have a Bedford Bambi campervan, it's ludicrous and slow but all my VW owning friends hang out in the Bambi as it has so much space.

I feel like I'm so preoccupied with trying to act like a normal person my brain can't save new data.
I found my Nexus 5 yesterday, it was so small and sooo light, felt so nice in the hand.
I also have a Pixel 6 and love it, but it's heavy and so slippery without a case.
It's definitely a compass jellyfish, loads of them around the west of Ireland coast. Saw one swim past me when I was at the beach last week. It was worrying but apparently their sting is quite mild. Not sure on what scale tho!
You are most likely correct, it's a mechanism that can fail. Apple normalised notches and people buy them no matter what, so the others follow.
