Difference between enforcing democratically accepted ideology and enforcing that which is not. You mentioned that you thought speech that questions natural rights should not be given a platform. I pointed out that you're applying an ill-defined and subjective term, and so it's just not wise
Whose definition of natural rights are you enforcing? Because your definition might not be as broad as mine, and if that's the case I want you banned for questioning natural rights
(Obviously I'm not serious, this is an illustration of why enforcing ideology is not a good idea)
I mean what was lemmy supposed to do? It already removed karma. People just like approval and attention
Nope! I did it for a lemmy.ml community
I'm pretty sure all communities on foreign (to you) instances have their instance name.
You are [email protected]
Thus all lemmy.world communities show to you as "community"
But all others will show as [email protected] or [email protected] for examples
If you were to switch to another instance it would be the same way on those
I'm having the same issue. On lemmy.world I can only see some of the posts on c/[email protected] and my mod list isn't updating. But on lemmy.ml I can see them. Hoping for at least a workaround
For future reference, if you find a community that looks dead and you want to take over, you can message the admins of that instance and they'll look into giving you the community :)
Could be. My issue has been going on for about a week though, so that's why I thought to ask if anyone has any workarounds or anything
I'm probably only really a week into all this stuff and I feel like I have a solid layman's grasp of it all. You'll get there too :)
You can block communities, or just curate your subscriptions
Hitler bravely killed Hitler, is that enough to respect him?
