Global trade is conducted in US dollars, so they kind of are forced to use the dollar if they want to trade.
I think reddit will learn to value the fact that up until now their moderation and content creation has been totally free to them. Now they'll have to spend resources to correct both of these issues, undermining their entire platforms value and revenue generation potential.
Not a chance this catches on. People will fall into 1 of two camps in the next 20 years:
Hydrogen is a useless middle-ground that requires new infrastructure for no reason. Gas is simple and we are used to it. Electric is even more simple and offers incredible performance. Hydrogen is just in between in that it's not as good as electric and also requiress insane investment and where the hell am I getting these fuel cells from anyway?
