I do agree with you. I simply point out that a lot of folk don't care.

Wanting to be billionaire is not to be mentally ill. Who doesn't like power without responsibility? Whatever moral framework you've got, most folk wouldn't subscribe to when given option to be billionaire. Sorry, but that's reality - power makes people drunk, and it's only natural for us to want power - power to make our families and friends live better, to make people we despise grovel, to have all we want. It takes discipline and ideals to veer off into helping everyone.

And I agree with the lofe being made harder being the reason, but it doesn't really apply to original comment I replied to.

Lemmy tends to have skewed perception of such things. Truth is, most people want money. As much as possible in as short time as possible. There's a multitude of reasons, from wanting a luxurious life, to simply wanting to not have to worry about the money or to retire early, but pretty much everyone wants money. Look at how many folk join the lottery.

Hell, most of Lemmy wants student debt to be forgotten. That's gaining money, just in reverse order. Same with distributed wealth etc.

World spins around money, no matter how you look at it.

But sure as hell I wouldn't like to be in a place I hate to earn it. :/

Or ya know, simply Public Healthcare. Because it's for public. End of topic.

In my country there are multiple foundations and charity events, but these mainly aim to equip hostpitals rather than fund care. New equipment costs a lot in quantity hospitals need, and on gov money it would slowly trickle in. Meanwhile such events and foundations can greatly boost the speed of modernization.

There are aims to help with care funding, but that's pretty much explicitly cancer cases where we need top-of-the-line treatments that are not available on public healthcare.

For me it's good. I'll keep slightly more attention to what they are doin now. Slightly...but enough to notice other news

I do not know whether that guy sits alone because he likes it that way...or maybe we won't have anything to talk about and it'll be awkward...? No use in risking it...

I am working on my mental health but this and much more was absolutely normal thought process I had before. I still have some leftovers. Yuck.

If someone got murked, you may talk about about jury nullification.

If someone pissed people off and they want him murked (but that someone is still un-murked), don't.

Transportation. Thanks...writing half-asleep didn't work out for me. :/

Okay, honestly? Hear me out because as an European one thing stood out to me.

Why didn't NYPD catch him? Because he fled using... public ~~communication~~ transportation. It's too out of this world for them to be able to track him down. No protocols. No nothing. Because nobody, ever, uses public communication in USA.

Edit: And it seems I am the bigger joke for writing public communication when half-asleep. ._.

I will, no problem. Luddites have no place today, thank you.

Heck, cashiers are still wprking where I live. One of them just gets assigned to 6 or 8 self checkouts instead of normal register.
