the start to this season was pretty mid but the last two episodes have been some of the best they’ve ever had. so excited for the finale!

Not defending this, but isn't this basically also what Instagram (and every other mainstream social media app) takes? Doesn't make it right obviously but considering 99% of users for this thing are coming from Instagram/Facebook in the first place Meta already knows everything about them anyway.
Yes. 2023, at least from a AAA perspective, is probably the best gaming year we’ve had in at least half a decade. Many of the covid delays are finally reaching their conclusion this year.
For indies/AA it’s always hard to tell until the end of the year because so many things come out of nowhere. But with stuff like DREDGE, Darkest Dungeon II, Wildfrost, and Hifi Rush already out plus demos for future 2023 games like Jumplight Odyssey and Norland being great it seems like a pretty solid year on that front as well.
I played D2 for the first time a few months ago. It’s fun, especially early on, but it really drags after a while and gets super repetitive. I definitely think playing them solo is a slog. That’s why I’m waiting to get D4 until more of my friends are also willing to get it.
except for Scotty, who looks like he’s on the verge of death in every episode
really excited for next season. our midfield has been holding us back for years now. at the very least we should be significantly less infuriating to watch.
super excited for this even if it’s pretty small scale. Overwatch an an IP is absolutely screaming out for stories in several mediums and Blizzard refuses to take advantage. the fact that we haven’t gotten single player games, movies, tv shows, or anything is crazy.
hello!
well reddit on desktop is completely unusable. even old reddit with RES is garbage. that’s why 3rd party clients were so important.
I thought the site was unusable (on mobile at least) until I started using wefwef. It’s literally just Apollo - to the point that I’m not sure it’s legal lol. Highly recommend it or some other client over trying to use the raw website.
Threads being in the Fediverse is a plus for me, not a negative. It means I could follow regular people and friends who would never in a million years join places like Mastodon or Lemmy while I still get the benefits of being on those platforms, all while being shielded from Meta’s ads and data harvesting. The only issue is I don’t actually believe Zuck will go through with it. They’ll either never federate or severely limit it if they do.
Mastodon themselves have put out a post outlining how this will affect them (it won’t) and how EEE is not a threat. If Meta does eventually opt out of ActivityPub then cool. It’s not like that’s why Mastodon users were there in the first place.
