I think the best way to moderate gaming addiction is to be deliberate and disciplined about your goals. I love gaming and don't want to be interrupted, so I try to deal with responsibilities first, to get more enjoyment out of an uninterrupted gaming session. Make hard rules for yourself. You want to be fit? Work out before gaming. You don't even need a great workout routine; consistency will get you there. Use your drive for gaming to reach your goals. That's my opinion

As a c# mssql developer I'm not familiar with json or mongodb but I don't get the meme. What's wrong with this syntax? It's readable and relatively concise. Is this a whoosh moment for me? What am I missing?

This a thousand times. Maybe literally. They just won't stop harassing us.

Yeah if you just want a little computer, sure, pick up the orange pi. But if you want any of the gpio stuff get a raspberry pi because none of the knockoffs seem to work with modern kernel.

My first was Jingo. Picked it up at Value Village to read the first few sentences and could not put it down. Now I've been through the series several times and will surely start over again soon.

I enjoyed Malazan Book of the Fallen so much, but at a certain point I gave up on trying to figure out which confusing plot elements were due to me forgetting an earlier reference and which were intended to be a mystery and tried to enjoy the story for what was in front of me. Re-reading the series cleared up a lot of my questions but not all of them by any means. It's an enormous story! I think I might hit this series up again after the book I'm reading now.

Everything by Martha Wells. I'm into fantasy more than sci-fi, but Murderbot Diaries got me started. Loved Witch King, and I'm now reading through the Ile-Rien series. I'd say her more recent work is her best but I'm enjoying the older stuff a lot.

I don't even know you but I am stoked for you! I discovered Discworld a few years back as an adult and have been through the series several times since. It's my go-to when I need a diversion and don't have a new book or series that I'm excited for. The series is just amazing.

I'm nearing the end of act III with a couple of friends and I'm having a great time. I'm very likely to have a 2nd and maybe 3rd playthrough coming up. I love the game as it is, but I do have a few complaints.

My biggest complaint is that we can't just let a more appropriate character take over a conversation. One of my clumsy, dim-witted brawler friends runs ahead by one pixel triggering a cutscene, and I can't jump in mid-conversation to smooth things over with my bardic talent. This is our most common reason for loading a previous save.

Second biggest complaint is the number of things that you can mis-click to destroy your character's reputation. I'd love to be able to opt-in to an "are you sure" dialog when you accidentally click a random item on the floor while moving around. This is our second most common reason for loading a previous save.

Absolutely loving the game despite some very confusing storyline elements that must have relied on earlier foundational elements that we missed.

I did try the metal filter! I was optimistic when I ordered it; it sounded perfect. It didn't do it for me. I guess I am just a french press boy at heart.

I started that comment with the intention of saying that you kind of have to just try it and figure out which style you like more. Coffee is an extremely subjective personal preference thing.

I haven't used Moka Pot so I can't comment on the direct comparison of the two. AeroPress was a little too clean for my taste. Turns out I like a hint of grit in my coffee and and miss it when it's not there. I got a 12 oz french press, probably knockoff of this model https://www.amazon.com/Bodum-Chambord-French-Coffee-Stainless/dp/B00005LM0R and never looked back.
