Loosing YT would be painful for me, but there's no way I'd start sitting through ads. I'd end up buying a nebula subscription or something at that point.

If I as a user don't want to interact with or amplify an instance - such as lemmy.ml - for whatever reason

Is there a way to do so? I've been blocking individual communities on Lemmy.ml to avoid amplifying that instance. But more pop up. Is there any way for me as a user to block an entire instance?
