I agree. There is this scene at the very beginning of Back to the Future 2 where the sky is full of flying cars and they risk running into each other because there are no lanes and everyone is driving recklessly. That's an omen! ๐

Interesting (and annoying). I imagined that most exams went back to the usual pen and paper or laboratory, but there were tests written on laptops and in class long before the pandemic. I had forgotten about those!

I feel for you. It was used a lot during the beginning of the pandemic, but I thought it was dropped by now.
I've been a lurker on Reddit for forever (about 15 years) and then the APIcalypse happened and my first and unique post on Reddit was asking for a Tildes invite. I didn't enjoy Tildes, so now I'm here. We're so much less that I feel I can't lurk here too, so now I regularly comment here.
I apologize if I haven't seen it in another comment, but there is a category missing (sort of, let me quickly explain).
I like reading books from my phone with a dark theme (inverted colors). It's not exactly an e-reader, though it is electronic.
I don't claim it's the best way, it's just very convenient because of (former Reddit)/(now Lemmy) addiction to using my phone to read about cool stuff.
It's particularly handy before sleeping or when commuting

I dislike the fact that "ads" can also include crapware being injected into my computer (viruses, tracking cookies, mysterious scripts, etc).
